“R Bar in Asbury Park is a standout destination that masterfully transports the soul of New Orleans to the Jersey Shore. The Crab Beignets with Creole remoulade are incredible for an appetizer. We had the crawfish pasta for dinner and that was just as delicious.
For dessert we had the Beignets and the strawberry churro cake. They were both great choices and a perfect way to end the meal.

Afterwards we stayed around for a couple drinks because the atmosphere is very welcoming.

While we were there, we got to me 3 of the owners. Casey, Kelly and Lindsey were all so nice and so willing to talk with us. Plus our waitress, Kieura, was so nice, friendly and gave us great recommendations.

I say all that to say, R Bar is a place you need to try. We will definitely be back again, and again!“

“I can't say enough good things about this place, obviously a waterfront beach bar has an amazing view and cool atmosphere, they're constantly hosting events, live music, which attracts a great crowd as well. And by the way, in my opinion as far as bar food goes they're top tier. Not just burgers and chicken fingers but kabobs and short ribs and things you typically see as bar food. Awesome bar food, get a spot on a couch in front of a fire pit next to the water with live music... hard to beat that“

Although I visit there often and it has become like a second home where you visit family when you enter, the NYE celebration last night was so fun! The pre fix menu was full of options and the pricing was so fair. The drinks are always served cold and well prepared. Renee and Courtney were up beat and on point and made the evening even more enjoyable. It would not have mattered though who was behind the bar as the rest of the team there are all amazing and professional! “We had gone to Woodys for years and recently started visiting more frequently. Really enjoy the atmosphere and the food is good. The holiday decor is a whole vibe—the owners and staff really went all out to provide a warm, inviting experience for their customers. We are always greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. I always enjoy the time spent at Woodys, whether with friends or family. The seating options are many as the heated outdoor area is available all year long. Good food+great service+awesome ambiance=a fantastic experience.“

“wow, the best tacos anywhere in monmouth county! they were so full, the berria was delicious, and the fish taco was fresh local fluke, so good, almost a whole filet or more was in the 3 soft tacos, so good. also enjoyed the guac and chips platter that came with a tomatoe salsa and a mango salsa, so good. nice beer and wine selection. live music was great. sat inside due to weather. next time will try the outside bar.“

“Sandbox at SeaStreak is a fun summer spot. The ferry from Manhattan’s East 35th Street takes about 50 minutes, with a stop at Sandy Hook before reaching Highlands. Round‑trip tickets were about $50 per person, and if you take the ferry they waive the entry fee at the Sandbox. “Amazing. We had our daughter’s sweet 16 last weekend at this venue and can not recommend this place enough! From the planning down to the nights end, the owner and his staff were incredibly attentive and bent over backwards to please! The food was excellent and plentiful, the venue was kept clean, the staff were on top of any soiled dishes and cups on the tables, and the outside area is gorgeous at night with the lights and waterfalls. There were small touches I wasn’t even aware of until the evening of our event. The mocktail bar for the kids had a menu where our daughter’s name was included in the names of all the drinks, flavors of the ice cream were more than the chocolate and vanilla other venues offer, the coffee was amazing, and the staff even helped clean our decorations at the end of the party. Everything I just mentioned and likely much more I’m forgetting at the moment all less expensive than most other venues we considered. My brain instantly went into survival mode trying to calculate how and why this sandwich was at least ten times better than any other buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. I guess it would be good bar food, but the fries weren't seasoned, so it was good with the sauce they put on, but when we got fries with the sandwich, the plain fries were unseasoned. We didnt really think this should be under "dive bar" so yea. Refers to food as nips and idk if it was the chicken tenders or just some other item used“

“This place is amazing, the owners are friendly and alwaya open to suggestions. They have the best DJs playing great music. Beautiful outside patio which you can view the sunset over the ocean. They have a hookah patio as well. I recently celebrated my sister's 50th bday there while they had a paint and sip evening, thank you for all ya did for her . My family can't wait to come back“

“Been coming here since it's opening. It's a good place to have a delicious sandwich with a cold draft and enjoy the music of talented musicians.

This year, the service and kitchen staff are back in sync. The menu choices are perfect and the food is very good. Sometimes when it's a busy night, the bartenders also work as wait staff and take table orders for food and drinks. Service is slower so expect to wait on those nights.

We enjoy Taco Night Tuesdays and Open Mic. We also love Trivia Nights and the live music on the weekends. We hope to see this wonderful local establishment stay around for a long time! It would be even better if they could expand the building. Perhaps another floor with a wrap around balcony to take in the amazing water view. Overall, we highly recommend this fine establishment. It's truly a great place to eat, drink, and tap your feet to some good music!“
