I recently came here to eat with the hope that my health and wellness would be safely taken care of and prioritized and was heartbroken to find out it was not. My allergy was not taken care of as I was surely promised it would be and led to an extremely uncomfortable hospital visit an hour away from my home town.
Beyond this, I am very disappointed in the way that this restaurant has decided to handle this. Despite calling multiple times, requesting to speak to management, and more, it took a Google review to finally get a response. This response was so hurtful because of the gaslighting nature and tone. Before even getting any information on my dining experience, order, date of attendance, etc. they tried to tell us that they were able to check the footage and the receipts of my order without even knowing who we are. Beyond this they tried to make it seem like we were making up the facts about the exposure definitely being at this facility. Finally, they listed facts in their response that were blatant lies and made it seem like we were trying to tear down their restaurant by sharing our experience. They tried to tell us our family has dined at this restaurant before which is completely incorrect. Deeply upsetting and unforgivable. Do not recommend dining here especially if you have severe food allergies!!

Went a couple months ago so not sure if they made any changes, but I will not be going again. I ordered corned beef hash breakfast and they served it on a scratched teflon pan instead of a plate, which seemed unnecessary. Could have forgiven that gimmick if the food was good, but it wasnt. Over easy eggs were overcooked as well.
They had a clothesline of bacon on the menu, as well as some other stuff. It is 2025, and still having 2010 hipster food presentation is wild. If you’re going to make a huge display of the food like that, at least make sure the food is good.

Great dinner. I really enjoyed the salad with  grilled salmon. The salmon was very tasty and cooked perfectly and the portion was a nice size. My husband had the chicken and eggplant Parmesan combination and he enjoyed his dinner too. The dessert menu was really good and I'm glad we asked for it because we ordered the ice cream and waffles and enjoyed that to share.

Server was terrible. Waiting forever for a server. she never took our drink order. She brought a bottle of water- no glasses. We waited a long time for glasses. Order was cold. She didn't count my change properly - then argued. Not a great experience

So glad I picked this restaurant from the internet when looking for a nice lunch spot for a friend and I who usually are not in this area. Elli's Backyard is charming inside, but because it was perfect weather, we chose to have lunch outdoors. The chairs were comfortable, the service was good, and the salad selections were delicious. It was hard to make a decision because the menu was so enticing and a little unique. We each ended up getting the salad with coconut shrimp, avocado, tomato, mango and the ginger dressing was superb. The price was a little bit high but the portion was very big and we both took home half of the salads. Nothing like a terrific leftover for the next day's lunch or dinner. I definitely hope to visit this restaurant again and have already recommended it to friends who dine in Red Bank.

Great place for anytime meal. Thus was our first time fur brunch though have been numerous times for dinner. Food was delicious and great service too noise level was nice so we could actually talk with our friends without having to talk louder than usual Definitely will return.
Enjoyed our meal before a show at Count Basie theater. Food was fresh and delicious. Would definitely go there again.

We were dining at 5pm and owned the place. Our server Jess was very good and the ambiance was charming, like a backyard heheh. The entrees were yummy and filled us up. I do love a BYOB spot.
