I'm an old school customer, 46 years. I am going to assume Elsie's changed hands because the soggy sub is missing right along with the meat. The price went up and the quality of the sub is subpar. Elsie's used to have a good bread to meet ratio. Now just like subway, you have more bread than meat. One thing was changed for the better, the dog is not seen. No offense to the dog. $27. for a sub and a half.
I think my new sub go to will be Jersey Mike's.
I swing by for a couple subs when in the neighborhood. The past two cold subs didn't match my order. My hot sub reminded me that I should only eat eggplant in season. I miss the old Elsie's.
Make it a point to eat there at least once a week the sandwiches are delicious the bread is always fresh and the sandwiches always made the way you want it!!! Love this place JohnG
