Great food, great service. The gentleman who took our order was engaging, knowledgeable, and had a passion for the food. It was crowded and loud for 6PM on a Sunday, but the food was delicious and well worth it. We split a pear salad, veal parm, and a special short rib pasta. Finished with pumpkin crème brûlée. Lichee martini hit the spot.
Il Colosseo ranks as one of the best quality Italian American restaurants in Monmouth county. The service is 1st class along with the food!! My wife and I enjoyed a special Pork Osso Buco over risotto! Awesome. We are going back in the near future.
I'm always surprised that they serve such large parties. There had to be 30 people down one side of the restaurant which made every table full. The service suffered slightly but overall it was a very nice evening. Food was very good and we all enjoyed it.
