We went to this place last Tuesday — it was probably our 3rd or 4th time visiting. Usually, we’ve had a really nice experience, but this time was completely different. My boyfriend (who is Black) grabbed a seat at the bar while I stepped away, and when I joined him we waited at least 10–15 minutes. In that entire time, the bartender never acknowledged us — no “hello,” no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing at all.
It wasn’t busy, and as someone who also works in this industry, I understand giving staff grace when things get hectic. But this wasn’t that — it felt like we were being blatantly ignored. The experience was uncomfortable and disappointing, especially since we’ve enjoyed this place before.

Great place to grab a bite and a beer before a show at the Count Basie Arts Center. They also have live music here, too. Outdoor bar area when the weather is nice. Casual hang out spot.
