My wife asked if they had enchiladas since it wasn’t on the menu, and they said yes — but they clearly could not. What came out was a tortilla filled with cold Cotija cheese, which doesn’t melt, so it was just crumbled cheese inside a tortilla.
On top of that, we were charged $2 for a second set of chips and never got a refill of salsa or green sauce, even though we ordered guacamole.
We should’ve known better from the start — a huge menu, and the first few appetizers weren’t even Mexican. There are too many genuinely good Mexican restaurants in Red Bank to bother coming back here. And how this place has a 4.7 rating is beyond me.

This place used to be so much better. We used to moore a boat down in Sandy Hook and eat here often. This was the first time in a couple years that we have gone back, and food was not good. Service was slow, and menu was limited. They no longer allow you to eat in the back patio either. Also, they raised their prices a lot since COVID. Average dish cost $25

Food is fantastic! Steak is superb and the waiters are friendly and professional. The decor is soo pretty, you really feel like you're not in Red Bank some times! Highly recommend.

While our server was very sweet and competent, the rest of the staff had literally no idea what they were doing. The food was just okay and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced! The veggies looked like they were frozen mixed vegetables from the grocery store. Nothing was seasoned. A homeless person came into the restaurant going from table to table asking for money. And spending $200 on a mediocre dinner for four is absurd. We will never go back.

Had an anniversary party with 10, outstanding food and atmosphere. Service prompt. Very large portions for the price, which is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Juanito's is one of my favorite restaurants when getting Mexican food. Always a good meal. Unfortunately, they add an additional 4% to your bill when paying by credit card. It hurts me to start trying other Mexican restaurants in the area, as there are several, but I will start doing this as I view this fee as an additional tax. I'm taxed enough. Several restaurants in the area started to sneak in these fees. If everyone committed to avoiding these restaurants, you would see the fees go away.

Fantastic food and ambience! The crown jewel of Red Bank, this restaurant is decorated with larger than life murals which truly transport the diner to another realm. Seafood nachos were spicy and elegant, as were the seafood tacos and house burrito! A must see and we will definitely return!
