Everything was out of this world including the food and service. I can’t wait to go back. It’s a great atmosphere.

A big 4 1/2 stars for Muang Thai restaurant. Went here on a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. So much decoration everywhere it took us a while to order since we were caught up in looking at everything. The menu is quite large, so have an idea of what you are looking for. The Chicken Satay appetizer was amazing followed by this delicious little ginger salad. The Red Curry Chicken was very good and the Tom Yum Noodles with beef was a large portion but lacked in flavor and the peanuts were chopped a little too small making the noodles a bit gritty. The service was a little slow and I don't understand why waiters don't remove the plates from the first course before bringing the second course... IDK. All in all it's a fine place to go so check it out.

Place is cute but that’s about it. The food was poorly cooked and greasy. Anything fried needs to be avoided since it is not well fried and soaked in oil. Which not typical for roti or dumplings and spring rolls. The panag curry was watery and the noodles sticky and obviously reheated. The service was fast, but borderline rude. The waiter had a stern face and no emotion, which made us feel that he rather have us leave then be there. The food is too expensive for all of these issues. Would not go back

My favorite Thai restaurant and worth the hour drive. I recommend the spring rolls and the pineapple fried rice with chicken. It’s more expensive than alternative restaurants and in my opinion well worth it. You can tell in the food quality, how top tier it really is. It is also BYOB and they don’t charge for opening the bottle or for an ice bucket which is rare in Red Bank. I’m so happy I discovered this place! 10/10 customer service as well!

The Penang curry is one of their best items along with Pad Thai. The red curry (vegetarian version) was okay. The Tom Kha (coconut milk) and Tom Yum soups were very good. For the price, I thought the spring rolls were tiny. The Thai basil fried rice was absolutely bland at medium spice surprisingly.

The restaurant is gorgeous and the food overall was very good. Was it worth the price? No, especially when you finished the quantity. There are similarly good Thai restaurants at lower prices though maybe not easy to find in Jersey. Muang Thai is an attempt to be fine dining which it achieves through the food and ambience but not service.

Be warned the jump in heat from medium to spicy is 2-3x the usual expectation and can get quite hot.

Sadly, I will corroborate what most others are saying about the service here - they have a holier than thou attitude and are visibility piqued when you ask for clarification or adjustments as though there is a lack of comprehension or surprise for the need.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian food cooked here is without fish and oyster sauce. They can make nearly anything purely vegetarian and flavorful.

Food was pretty good and everything came out very very quickly (within 5 minutes), which gave us pause as to how that was possible.

The Thai iced coffee came out within 30 seconds of ordering so it clearly wasn’t brewed and was just a mix and didn’t taste good at all. We told waiter and he started to try to explain what Thai coffee is, and when we said we get it all the time elsewhere and lived in Thailand (he was Latino), he said every kitchen is different and refused to take it back. The rest of the food was fine but it was so awkward, and when we got the check he had added 20%, even though that’s no written anywhere on the menu and we were just 5 people with 3 children. The waiter, in short, was just unprofessional. The actual Thai waiter was very nice but he didn’t really service us like the rude one.

There’s plenty of other places to go that treat you more respectfully.

Extremely overpriced and the food is disgusting. Even if the bill was $20 cheaper, which would just make it competitively priced with other restaurants in the area, I still wouldnt go back again

Somethings you never see in front of you until it's right in your face. That being the door sign that says use the other door.
Almost broke the wrong door upon entry. My apologies.. great time, awesome atmosphere, and thank you for keeping me on my toes. ??
