I’m surprised this place is so popular compared to so many better pizzerias and Italian restaurants nearby, like Gianni who makes a far superior Grand Ma’s pizza like a Detroit style with crispy cheese edges called frico or ViaSposito who makes a great personal pizza.

Their pizza is still confusing to me. It’s great when it’s freshly cooked but after an hour, the dough becomes very chewy and not palatable. I’ve yet to figure out why this happens. Their salad pizza is basically salad tossed onto baked dough, very odd

Their garlic knots are ok, sometimes hard and not tender and sometimes overly soaked in olive oil like Chiafullo. It’s a toss up and not consistently appetizing.

The worst item on the menu is the wings. Typically wings are either baked or fried. I’ve even seen them par boiled and then fried to expedite the delivery of wings within minutes.

However here at New Corner, they boil their wings and then toss them in buffalo sauce and serve it. Why it’s this method bad?

By boiling the wings, yes you’ve cooked it but you did not render the fat on the skin and so therefore you are left with a rubbery textured skin. That’s why if you boil, you must follow it up with either baking or frying to render the fatty skin so it will become crispy.

The food and Pizza is great, but the waitress nonsense every time I go in for a quick slice of pizza for lunch is just getting tired. I don't need a waitress to bring me my slice of pizza which ultimately winds up costing me $3 extra for her tip. Food is expensive enough.
They should keep the front Pizza counter separate from the restaurant seating area.

There was a language barrier with the waitress. She didn't understand us. They needed to get us a new waitress. Then everything was great. We ate outside, which was very nice. Parking was challenging.

It was relatively empty when I went, so I didn’t think it would be too bad to order two personal pies. Roughly an hour goes by, new customers coming in and getting food but we haven’t gotten ours yet. Eventually our waitress informed us that they lost our ticket. I was really bummed out because we had somewhere to be and the extra waiting left us no choice but to get the order to go. The waitress did apologize so I don’t fault staff, just an unfortunate and very inconvenient experience for my “dine in” attempt.
