Everything was delicious! Our waitress was so friendly and happy and steered us perfectly! Can't wait to go back.

Semolina has developed into the best restaurant in the area. Our party of three had the gnocchi sadri--absolutely incredible--the pasta with crab and the orecchiete with sausage. Everything was incredible, like usual! Love this place.

Unfortunately, we are a one and done for Semolina. Although the food and service were quite good- the overwhelming loudness and din did not make for a pleasant dining experience

This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The spaghetti with capicola and crab meat is still to die for.

Semolina is named after the ingredient in their homemade pastas, so in addition to the fresh farm to table ingredients, we were excited to try the pasta dishes. My squid ink pasta with rock shrimp was good, although a little overcooked. My husbands spinach gnocchi, however, did not seem like gnocchi at all. I know gnocchi well, have made them myself, and these were NOT gnocchi. They are supposed to have the consistency of light balls of dough (a mix of potato and flour or ricotta and flour), and made by hand. The dough is rolled into ropes, then cut into small pieces and indented by rolling with your thumb, like my grandma did, resulting in curved “boats” which hold the sauce, or else indented with a fork. Semolinas gnocchi were too thin, and seemed to have been machine made by running through a pasta press, as the striped indents were perfectly even. This is NOT a gnocchi! My other complaint is the sea bass crudo was literally swimming in a bowl of buttermilk. That much dairy does not go well with fish, and they should rethink this combo!

I understand why this got five stars. The food and service were excellent. You could tell all the ingredients for fresh The menu had just the right amount of options available. I was pleasantly surprised that the portions were more than adequate. Excellent overall experience.

Outstanding Farm to table experience. Finely crafted dishes - some of the best fresh and exactly prepared food. The seasoning and mode of prep only enhanced the freshness of the food. Though an hour away - will become a regular experience when guests come to town or a special occasion. BYOB - extra value! Service was extremely friendly and knowledge of ingredients and concept. Well done!

Enjoyed entire experience. The 2 of us shared each dish so we could experience the same food....mushroom app, ink pasta, pork chop and hazel tart. So glad we were able to get reservation while in town!

Always an excellent meal- with even better service. I almost always get the agnolotti, but this time I got the squid ink Lumache and omg I think this was my new favorite pasta from Semolina.

Semolina has great food. In addition, the plate always looks great. We just returned from Charleston and ate at some great restaurants. The food at Semolina is just as good. Plus its a BYOB with friendly service. The food is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The staff, food and atmosphere were all terrific. I have milder Celiac and my only comment was that there was no notification on the menu of the gluten-free options. The wait staff was very, very helpful with what were not GF menu options and openly shared that oil used could present cross contamination. For any who are very gluten sensitive, this information ideally could be written on the website and menu as I know of folks that have been sickened when they relied on wait staff for guidance. This was not the case here, but it's left up to the wait staff's knowledge and care when the kitchen doesn't document potential risks. Jersey Italian food restaurants are mostly all guilty of this from my experiences as opposed to other restaurants in other regions in the country. Otherwise, food was overall fantastic and presented as described on the menu or suggested by the wait staff.

Wheelchair accessibility: Only two very low steps into the building makes the entranceway very accessible.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, from the servers, bussers and manager. True 10/10 !! The food was spectacular, we had the pork chop and an assortment of pastas and I have to say it was the best pork chop I have ever had. Janis the server was sooo warm and welcoming and Finn the busser had a great attitude. I cannot wait to go back!!! ASK FOR JANIS !!!

Had a 545 reservation, food was great along with the service. At 725, after signing the check we were asking to leave 2 times within 5 minutes because the next party was waiting. Strange.

The bad attitude from the hostess and the rule that they won't seat anyone until your entire party shows up is utterly ridiculous. We were a party of 4 and one of us had trouble finding parking and they wouldn't seat us until she showed up. The restaurant wasn't full at all, and we had to sit in the hallway drinking our wine until she arrived. Instead of us being comfortable at our table and ordering starters (and the restaurant would make more money) they preferred to keep us in the entrance. Makes no sense. Food was fine, nothing outstanding but won't go back purely on principal.
