This was our first visit to the restaurant. We choose to come here based on outstanding reviews. We came for lunch. The waitress, was horrible & rude. I asked her what was in the Beijing Bistro Signature Soup, she had absolutely no clue. Maybe some chicken vegetables, she didn't even try to find out. I wanted to bring it home for later on, but she didn't bother asking. We ordered 2 lunch specials (both of us had the same dish, Mango Chicken with tangy sauce). Neither one of us, ever had this dish prior. Nothing on the menu stated it was a spicy dish, guess what it wasn't a spicy dish, but the excuse we receive from the waitress was "well sometimes the chef likes to be creative." Please don't get me wrong, the sauce was good, but it wasn't what was ordered, and I don't ever order spicy dishes. She didn't even tell the manager there was an issue. After paying, and still no response as to what was the sauce, I asked her again, but this time the manager overheard. She then went and asked the chef, needless to say he put chili flakes in the tangy sauce. The manager was very nice and refunded our meal. The waitress on the other hand should find a new job.
I've been doing 'takeaway' from the restaurant since Covid and have always enjoyed anything I've ordered. Last night I decided it was time to go back to the restaurant and eat there. To be honest, I thought that the dishes I ordered were better eaten at home. The service was outstanding but the ambiance is lacking. There were only 2 tables and one of them was very loud. I can only imagine what the noise level is like when the restaurant is full. Maybe last night it was just a little 'off' but for now I think I'll continue to order takeaway.
We enjoyed our meal and the service, and even got some leftovers from the generous portions!
We live in little silver and have been disappointed with Chinese food in town Two of the Chinese restaurants went downhill. We decided to try bejing Food was delicious and portion size great! We will definitely be back. Some of the patrons in the restaurant were loud and on their phones. Rude beyond, however the restaurant can't control loud customers. It's byob!!
Food was delicious! Staff were very pleasant! Satay was great! Big plates of food!! Leftover heaven!
Went for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. We were greeted and seated promptly, this is a BYOB. We ordered and added the pan seared pork dumplings. The Hot & Sour soup was just ok, not really spicy. The spring rolls were deep fried so not sure what was happening there, but my GF said they were good. Mains were really generous portions and we're fine, she has the Grouper and I had the Chicken. Dessert was chocolate lava cake, which was not so great, so I wouldn't recommend that. Service was ok, but spotty, I had ordered hot tea and it showed up late with no sweetener, a spoon to stir, just basic blocking and tackling. Same when the dumplings showed up, no plates or dumpling sauce, just soy. Bottom line, if you've ever had really good Sichuan or Cantonese cooking this is like almost all the other places at the shore, just ok. It ain't NYC, Vegas, L.A. or San Fran. But, the dumplings were outstanding!
The filet mignon was so tender and cooked to perfection. Have to try the chicken lettuce cups best around! Tasty! Service can not be better!
We come to this restaurant often. This time we were there for restaurant week with 6 people. The food and service were excellent. Everything we've had at this place was excellent. Would highly recommend.. .
Excellent food! Good value! Large portions. Service was very polite, but a little slow. Would definitely eat here again!
****RIP OFF FOR CHRISTMAS***
Paid $122.00 and made a special trip an hr out of the way to get take out food since I loved it when I dined here in the summer.
Ordered the bejing imperial for filet and 1 1/2 pound of lobster and the lobster was non existent, they definitely took most out to use in other dishes.
I also order boneless spare ribs that they didn't give me. When I called back an hr later they said they were rushing hour busy and would credit my card. There was not one person in the restaurant and 5 waiters standing around at the front desk at 4 pm. I now think this was done intentionally, I will continue to ck my card for the credit.
Got 1 large won't ton soup with 6 won tons and no meat
1 pork fried rice and I shrimp with lobster sauce, tastes well enough but how does this justify 122.00 plus I left a 10.00 tip.. They are banking on you not cking your to go orders and ripping you off.
Look at other reviews with the same problem, NEVER AGAIN, SHAMEFUL

First time ordering from this restaurant and it was a big disappointment. Too oily, even the steamed dishes; lo mein was all chopped, taste wasn’t great, steamed dish seemed old. No chips sent like other restaurants. Steamed dumplings were the only good thing. Overall not a good Chinese meal. We won’t order here again

The food was very good as usual. The service was painfully slow. We were late for a concert.

Always an excellent meal here. We’re big fans of the cold sesame noodles, black pepper filet mignon and the vegetarian chicken imperial. Great for both BYO dine and and take out!
