The Proper Palate

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. My caterer cancelled two days before Mothers Day so I reached out to out to Proper Palate and not only were they were able to adjust their schedule to fit us in, but they tailored the menu to exactly what we wanted. The customer service was incredible and the food was amazing. I will definitely be using them again!

Marie was a professional from the first time we connected to the final result! Was able to whip up our menu, in a short amount of time. Quantity was exceptional and delicious! Looking forward to working with her again, for our parties!

We had a family dinner for my wife’s birthday with 14 people. Chef Marie was so easy to work with and she put together a delicious menu. Everyone loved the food and really appreciated that Chef Marie explained each course. Francesca and Patty were so polite and helpful. We didn’t step in the kitchen but rather just sat and enjoyed appetizers, dinner and desert. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the night. It was spectacular!

Chef Marie and her team seamlessly fit into my event! I hired her for my wedding, and forgot to mention that detail to her (slightly frazzled while planning). She took it all in stride and honestly completed my day! The food was phenomenal! Everyone talked about it in the following days, which was all I wanted for my wedding: GOOD FOOD. She was an absolute pleasure to work and communicated everything thoroughly, patiently and quickly. Every single thing was better than I could have imagined it! I am SO happy I happened to find her and would choose her again in a heartbeat!

We recently threw a fantastic, elegant surprise birthday party with 34 guests in our backyard in Bergen County, and Chef Marie made it an event to remember.
Amazing Customized Menu: Chef Marie really nailed it with the menu. She took our preferences and the season into account, offering great suggestions that perfectly matched our needs. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right, even with some tricky requests.
Stress-Free Party: Having Chef Marie and her team was such a relief. They showed up early, got used to our space quickly, and took care of everything so we didn’t have to stress. They made the whole event so much easier and more enjoyable.
Top-Notch Service: Beyond the mains being perfect (Prime Rib, Salmon, Lemon Chicken) being spot on, one of the best things about Chef Marie’s service was how clean and organized everything stayed. The kitchen was spotless by the end, and they took care of all the dishes and clean-up, leaving things even better than before. It was such a relief not having to deal with any post-party mess.
Fun and Professional Team: Chef Marie and her crew were fantastic. They communicated well during the planning, worked smoothly with our bartenders, and added a fun, relaxed vibe to the party. They were not just great at what they do, but also really enjoyable to work with.
