Not spicy enough, ask Sherry to give it a boost, or the opposite, tamp it down a bit.

The place has gotten a bad wrap from impatient patrons. Good food takes time to prepare, and fresh ingredients are not cheap. When we have company from out of the area, this is their requested restaurant. We have ordered food for one up to a catered meal for 100, always delish.

GOVEN THIS PLACE MULTIPLE BENEFITS F DOUBT , EVERYTIME THE FOOD HAS BEEN BAD !! IN TOP OF THAT THE OWNER HAS SO MCH ATTITUDE AND SO MUCH FREE ADVICE TO GIVE, on a $159 order she refused to give us forks sauces and chopsticks!! No no for us. PLEMTY OTHER GOOD CHINESE PLACES ARD

I heard Mamas dumplings were amazing and they did not disappoint. We asked for the peanut sauce and I’m pretty sure I dreamed about how delicious they were. Also had pork fried rice that was awesome. Glad we found it, definitely my new top Chinese food spot!

If I could give the food ZERO starts I would. TERRIBLE FOOD, boy! What a waste of $55. We just got an order to go. The food is bland, boiled veggies and salty. No garlic, no taste. The mapo tofu was BLAND. When I called the restaurant they said “that’s how we cook our food”. Like for real. The owners are rude as hell. Honestly stay away.

The best Chinese food I’ve had in the area. It was my time trying it after living here for over 20Y and only sad that I didn’t come here earlier. Chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce and the angel hair noodle dish were legendary. Sherry was the best too! So kind and hospitable :)

The single greatest Chinese restaurant in Bergen County, and probably the country. Sherry has a heart of gold. The food is made with love and the freshest ingredients. Sherry takes pride in what she does and she is family. She only asks for kindness and patience in return. Other places in the area buy their accolades - not Bamboo House. Give her your business!
Highly recommend this local gem! Food is excellent, definitely the best take-out Chinese food in the area by far. Unlike other options, it is very flavorful without being loaded with salt. Pork fried rice especially stood out, delicious! Everything made from scratch, so they are very confident in the ingredients if you have any allergies/dietary restrictions just ask.
Order was ready right on time, very neatly and conscientiously packaged. Everything was nice and hot even after the drive home. Owner is very nice and customers get VIP treatment. Street parking right in front, but on a busy Friday night I had no problem briefly parking in the bank lot just next door. Looking forward to returning and trying more things from the menu!

If the lady is screaming on the phone and at the cooks in the back, your take out order is placed in a liquor box from the shop next door and not in a bag, the receipts are indecipherable - you know the food it going to be FIRE!!! amazing spot - like no other!!!

My family and I would go often a few years back. You can sit inside, but there is only about one table. Mainly a take out spot and the food is absolutely delicious.
The dumplings are some of the best and freshest you will get.
I actually found out about this place via a review when I wanted a ginger chicken soup when I was sick. Highly recommend.
