Went 2 weeks ago, very disappointed. Dinner for 2 when you do byob should not be over 2 hundred dollars. Restaurant smelled of cigarettes, shrimp appetizer had 2 shrimps. Loved to sit outside during the summer, things have changed. Went to Village Green tonight, great ambience, great food,130 dolllars.

We were here twice before, the last time being a year ago, and everything was great. Unfortunately, since then, everything has gone down. The service wasn't great - we had to ask twice before our one drink came; our water glasses were re-filled only once during our meal; and, when we asked for additional toast (one of the appetizers included small triangles of toast) we received one tiny triangle after we already gave up waiting for it. The food, while not bad, was far from the level it was a year ago, and the portions have become quite small. Definitely not worth the price. We won't be returning.

Cafe 37 is our place for celebrating special occasions. The food is consistently above average, and Felix always takes very good care of us. We have never gasmd a bad experience there in the 20+ years we have been going to Cafe 37.

I had a wonderful experience at Cafe 37. The waitstaff were sooo accommodating and friendly. The food was exceptional. I had a series of different dishes (it was my birthday and was starving). Everything was perfect! It’s BYOB so don’t forget to bring your favorite wine / champagne / beer. The parking isn’t too bad for ridgewood, I parked down by the church. I would not recommend it for children. It is great for a date night or special occasion.

We came here for Valentine's Day, where Cafe 37 was doing a fixed 3 course menu. The space inside is on the smaller side, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. It's cozy and intimate, so definitely nice for a dinner out. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and courteous. I am eager to go back and try their regular menu.

The Valentine's Day food was terrific. The only negative thing was that we had a table for two that was in the middle of the room - not against the wall. There was a lot of jostling with the waiters constantly going by our table with food for other tables.

Went on Feb 10,2023 I had a gift card that I wanted to use. Thank God for a gift card a striped bass dinner and a NY Strip $124.00. My gift card was $80. I wasn’t impressed and half the strip was fat. No dessert had to ask for a second roll. Not returning I can go many other places and walk out same money using it for either apps or desert too. Way too over price and a BYOB so no drinks ordered.Nasty reply only speaking the truth and yes the original was for $200 which was used for a dinner before when I got a good meal however returned to finish the gift card thinking I get the same quality. You will not have to worry I won’t be returning. My money is good anywhere.

I love the ambience and a little garden when the weather is warm. The staff is very attentive and the food is superb. A lot of creative dishes.

Excellent pork chops. Update 2022: went again and the quality is exactly the same, highly recommend! Update 2024: now having gone here for a handful of years, I can firmly say that I believe this is the best restaurant in Ridgewood. The quality of every meal is absolutely incredible and the service is 5 stars every time. Highly recommend to everyone!

We enjoyed our meal, this was our second visit to this restaurant. The price fix menu is a good value and the portions, while on the smaller side, are adequate. However my husband got the ahi tuna which was quite sparsely plated, not at all like the pictures on the website. This should be fixed. Service friendly and prompt, overall a good experience and I would recommend.

Came here for dinner with a group of 7 on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't packed at all - at least not until it was later in the night. Cute little place that's BYOB with extremely tentative waitstaff. We were a pretty easy going group with most of us ordering the same thing and a bunch of appetizers to split with all of us. The food was amazing with the exception of the seafood paella I ordered. I think I was expecting more rice in the dish than the seafood, and the seafood didn't taste as fresh and i would've liked. Everyone else ordered the short ribs which I was pretty jealous of. The meat fell off the bone and it looked way better than my seafood paella. The waitstaff was great in refilling waters and wine glasses. They were attentive and friendly which made our experience that much better. I would love to come back here in the summer and sit outside! Super cute place away from the main part of ridgewood!

Cafe 37 is a fantastic restaurant and remains one of our favorites in Bergen County. The food is delicious, the menu is always full of great choices, and the chef, staff and entire team run the restaurant very well. It's an intimate setting with great table conversation over an amazing meal every time.

TL:DR - completely dishonest about prix fix for NYE. I called 2x to confirm and was reassured the menu was a la carte, We just got back from a very disappointing experience. Every year my family and I choose a restaurant for NYE; it's a special time and we have been doing this for years and I have many reviews on past experiences. I avoid prix fix dinners like the plague and when I called the restaurant at the beginning of December I was assured there is an a la carte menu for NYE, no prix fix so I made a reservation. I called on Friday to confirm and again was assured there are specials for NYE but it's a la carte menu. At NO TIME was $115 pp mentioned. The team has to train whoever is answering patrons calls that they know the difference. The menu is also hard to navigate to on the website... deceiving. We sit down and find out it's $115 per person with LIMITED options for apps, main and dessert, I was flabbergasted at that time and just stayed. We paid $600 cash for a mediocre experience, you get charged for credit cards that's another nightmare as well as tip that I could not control another negative. I am so super disappointed in establishments that are dishonest. $600 is a lot of money for people and if you can sleep at night charging this obscene fee for mediocre food, good luck to you. I have never experienced this in all our years exploring restaurants around Bergen County. Everyone is transparent when it comes to NYE and holiday menus . I truly understand restaurants are suffering and we need to support them, but please be honest. Will not return nor will I recommend to anyone.

The risotto was off the charts and so was this braised ribs. I didn’t love the beef ravioli but it wasn’t as good as the two other dishes I listed. Great service and relaxed environment. This place is worth a trip.
