Disclaimer: Apparently this café has a second location in Fair Lawn. I have been to the Fair Lawn location as well and did not have a great experience there. Both locations are fairly different in terms of quality/atmosphere (judging from my own, personal experience). This review is for the Ridgewood location.
I am giving Zen Haus a 5 star review. I was blown away by the coffee and quick service. My friend and I were the only customers in at the time, which was shocking to me after receiving our orders because the coffee is really quite good (this is coming from a former barista). I wish I had left a larger tip for the employee behind the counter. I ordered a small black, iced coffee which I had to sip slowly. It was strong, but a good kind of strong—as the ice melted it didn’t dilute the flavor too much. My friend ordered something with salted caramel cold foam which she also loved. It is a little expensive, but it is worth it for the quality. The atmosphere of the cafe is very pleasant (especially if you have the place to yourself or there are few people).

Literally the best coffee shop in Ridgewood with so many options to accommodate any palate! From the superior coffee itself where they handcraft delicious lattes, matcha, fresh cold pressed juices to the breakfast/lunch menu and sweet treats, you’re bound to find something you will enjoy! The owner, Jamie and her staff are so sweet. They take the time to pour from the heart and that is the way they stand out from all the other shops in town. Do yourself a huge favor and go to Zen Haus asap!

I was looking forward to trying this place. First and foremost I want to begin with how I felt uncomfortable. There was an older man sitting in the cafe who kept staring at me almost the entire time I was there. I believe he might have know the employee on shift since he was conversating with her. The avocado toast was very bland, the bread was as crunchy as a crouton. To be honest I could make an avocado toast 1000 times better. The latte was ok, I did enjoy the house made oatmilk, but for a 20z latte you need to put two shots of espresso not just one. For $22 I was very disappointed. With all this being said I will definitely not be returning.

Absolutely Delicious Drinks and Super Friendly Service! They've got a Dubai Chocolate Latte that's out of this world Amazing!! Took a sip of my friend's Galaxy Lemonade (Butterfly Pea tea) which was super yummy and not too sweet. Definitely gonna get that next time now that it's getting warmer out.

She educated me so much about her cold pressed juices and about benefits of each juice!
I was fascinated by the amount of knowledge this lady has, and I was absolutely amazed by her friendliness when she welcomed me.
I had their Green Goddess juice for digestive health, and it was delicious! Each juice is freshly made for different kinds of needs, so whatever health issue you’re dealing with, she’s got you covered!
I also had their tuna melt sandwich and it was delicious!!! Highly recommend this place! 🙌🏻

Listen this place has super high quality ingredients and my matcha latte was amazing. But I came in and ordered a matcha latte with strawberry cold foam and also a smoothie. I was the only customer in the store. The amount of time it took to make just the matcha latte, without even making the smoothie as well, was incredible. It took about 15 minutes just to get my one drink with NO ONE else in the store. And this woman was talking to her coworker (that was just standing there doing nothing) about her boyfriend issues. I ended up leaving without my smoothie even though I paid for it because I had to leave. I was a barista at Starbucks and also another coffee shop. I understand how annoying it is to be rushed, but I still had to make the drinks in a timely manner. I’ve made thousands of matcha lattes in my life and they can certainly be done faster than that. She was simply moving in slow motion. Amazing and quality latte but I can’t even imagine how long it would take if there were other customers.
