Ridgewood has added another gem to its collection of fine foods. This restaurant makes you feel welcome by the staffs friendly smile and asks you to chose wherever you feel comfortable to have your meal. The meal exquisite! I now go to this restaurant every week for lunch. Delicious food, friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere with music from the origins of Persia softly playing in the background is a very nice touch. Enjoy! P.S. Parking is on the street, but I usually make a purchase or two at Whole Foods across the street.

My friend and I stopped by here on a Friday evening after having dinner at one of the other restaurants on the block. The restaurant was mostly empty; only 2 tables were in use, and they were getting ready to leave. We were able to seat ourselves, and we really were craving some tea & sweets. The waiter greeted us after a few minutes, and we asked if they served tea. He responded with yes, as it was not on the menu. We asked for 2 teas and told him that we weren't sure which dessert we would like just yet. That's when everything suddenly changed, his face, attitude, and hospitality. He stared at us and asked us, "You're only here for tea and dessert?" We nodded, yes. And he responded with, "That's not going to work. We're not going to do that." My friend and I were so shocked that he just refused us service at an empty restaurant. He didn't even apologize or offer us tea to-go, but ushered us out. We left so embarrassed and humiliated; this never happened to us before. I love eating out and reviewing the restaurants. But I'll never come back to an establishment that doesn't respect its customers. UPDATE: The owner replied to my review, and I'm 1000% sure this is the restaurant I went to, on 08/23 evening. I can even point out the waiter who refused us service... Check your cameras, and you will see.

I been wanting to try this Persian restaurant for a long time now . I passed by on my way to another restaurant in the area and walked in for lunch .The waitress Emily was supper helpful and sweet and answered my questions on the sauces and the food . I ended up ordering The gyro meat which is beef and lamb it was supper moist and tasty I mixed the hot sauce and white sauce made with mayonnaise it was delicious . The basmati rice was so light and fluffy . The top rice was yellow and it came with salad . The salad is similia to Greek salad with green pepper pieces cucumbers tomatoes & red onion .I want to try the Persian ice cream with rose water. The food was excellent and service great too.
