The food was delicious and very authentic with great sauces. We had the escargot, crabmeat in pastry, crispy duck, and beef Wellington, all were excellent. The owner, Michael, came over and spoke to us for a while, something we appreciated. Noise volume was low, making dinner more enjoyable. Will definitely return.

Outstanding dining experience with exceptional food and service. It's highly regarded for its authentic French cuisine, offering a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of Paris. Patrons consistently praise the quality of both the dishes and the attentive service, making it a must-visit for those seeking a memorable meal.

Had I known of this restaurant, I would have come here and kept coming here for many years. Having a French mother and having spent a lot time in France it's truly hard to find good French food here in the US. Latour has made me a believer that you don't need to go home to feel like you are at home. Dominic, the head waiter was charming funny and a pleasure, Chef Michael walks around the restaurant speaking with all clients old and new to bring the personal touch you don't see anymore. As a foodie who has a true appreciation for the finer things in life I highly recommend Latour for every occasion or even when you just want a fabulous meal.

Very very good French food… likely the truest French food you’ll find in all of Bergen County. Have had some very good dishes here including Dover Sole, the grouper, soufflés, etc. all of which are reasonably priced ($35-45 entrees) for how good the food is. Enjoy that the chef usually comes out to chat to customers when it’s not that busy. Dining room itself could use a little bit of updating but that is kind of part of the charm. BYOBVegetarian options: I’m not sure there are many vegetarian options for entrees, it’s mostly meats and a few fish

We have eaten at Latour many times. Every dish has been very good. I had the cassoulet this evening and it was truly exceptional. I am not given to raving about dishes, but cannot help but do so in this case. Ridgewood is a town known for very good restaurants, and Latour stands above them all. The staff is remarkably responsive and friendly, and Michael is a warm and welcoming host. I strongly recommend trying this North Jersey gem.

Everyone was fantastic, warm, and welcoming. Music is perfect and ecor delightful. Its very easy to get to from NJ or by train - I came in from NY and the train to Ridgewood dropped me within 5 minutes walking distance. We celebrated my mother's 80th here and she loved it - she chose it! The food was delicious and my only regret is not being able to try more from the menu and specials!!! We left very full and very happy.

It's been a few months since our last visit to LaTour and we had forgotten just how exceptional everything was. The food was beyond just good, it was phenomenal. The waitstaff were very attentive. We will return sooner for another delicious meal.

Never disappoints. A consistently excellent restaurant with a very good value of a price fixed menu and BYO. Have loved Latour for many years and hope to continue to enjoy it for many more.

The tremendous selection of appetizers and entrees here is incredible and unlike any you will find in New Jersey. We had the escargot, the seafood crepe and onion soup. Each was so delicious, the meal could have ended there. But then, our entrees were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Chef/owner Michael Latour visited our table twice and is always delightfully humble about his creations. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem that has remarkably been around for over 20 years! If you've ever had doubts about French food (as I did) because of those old negative stereotypes, don't hesitate to try Latour - it is fabulous!!

Oh my goodness. Quaint section of Ridgewood, NJ. The owner Michael LaTour met us during appetizers and we had a wonderful culinary filled conversation about our food other French chefs and his mentor. He has been at this location for 27 years and has the art of French honed to an exceptional experience for the pallet. He is passionate about the art and it shows in the fine coq au vin , foie gras , deserts / an experience worth repeating.

Excellent food choices and quality. Great customer service. Knowledgeable professionals. BYOB . Duck is very popular and crisp . Lamb is perfectly prepared. Michael the chef comes out to chat with customers. Great for special occasions.

We were simply transported to the French countryside - from welcome to departure. The ambience, the decor, the tables placement throughout, the waiter's knowledge of each dish and its preparation, the conversation with Michael Latour who took the time to visit. And of course, the meal which cannot be surpassed ever. A perfect evening.
