A classic, traditional Italian restaurant. The food was outstanding! Definitely tasted like Italian food. We got two appetizers( Grilled Octopus, Cozze) they were exquisite. For entrees, we ordered Homemade Tagliatelle Nero, Salmone, and Bistecca. They were fresh and huge portions enough to take home. The ambience was quiet, and romantic. Clean and neat restaurant. Service was impeccable. Definitely a place to try out

Beautiful indoor dining Italian restaurant. A cozy, quiet, and romantic Italian restaurant to dine in. To start, we got their Barbabietola Salad to share. Perfect portion to share for two people, fresh, rich and delicious salad. For entrees, I got the Chicken Parm and my wife got the Branzino. Amazing dishes, the sauce of the chicken parm was unique and surprisingly delicious. I'm not a fan of marinara sauce but the way this restaurant made it was rich and very flavorful. Fresh fillet Branzino, flaky and filling. my wife and I were happy and satisfied with our dishes. For dessert we got their homemade Tiramisu. A huge piece of tiramisu was brought to the table, we both shared it and it hid right the spot. Our server was great, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Food came on time, the ambience was just what we were looking for. High quality food, high professional service and perfect ambiance. We will definitely come back.

The owner greeted us with such kindness, and the servers wasted no time making sure we were settled in comfortably, even with the restaurant being packed. That warm start set the perfect tone for the rest of our evening. The service was exceptional—attentive without being overwhelming. Our bread arrived fresh and warm, accompanied by olive oil for dipping that was so simple yet so delicious. Appetizers and entrees came out quickly, and throughout the evening the servers checked in with genuine care to make sure everything was perfect. The food was the real highlight. The seafood appetizer was fresh and flavorful, the chicken parm was perfectly prepared and comforting, and the seafood linguine stood out as one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. Every bite showed attention to detail and authentic Italian flavors. We ended on a sweet note with the tiramisu, which was absolutely fantastic—light, creamy, and rich in flavor. The atmosphere made the experience even better. Dining outside under the lights created such a cozy, inviting vibe. The energy of other happy guests around us added to the charm, and the BYOB option is a great touch—it's nice being able to bring your own wine to pair with such great food. Overall, Piccolo Bistro isn't just another Italian spot—it's truly one of a kind in Ridgewood. Between the amazing food, the welcoming staff, the beautiful outdoor setting, and the thoughtful touches, it's the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. The overall atmosphere and ambiance is pleasant. The dining area is dimly lit and the central air makes it comfortable.
The service was also efficient; my server made sure my order was taken care of.
Although the cutlet was pounded thin, it was missing a crispy texture.
There was a decent amount of mozzarella cheese; it was gooey with a decent cheese pull (Regrettably, I didn’t take a photo of the pull.)
The sauce was disappointing; it has too much of a resemblance of tomato soup.
Overall, the ambiance and service is fantastic. When I return, I will definitely give their other entrees a try.
I've always wanted to try this place, finally did...Unfortunately..very disappointing(food).....appetizer were calamari bits ....One entree flavorless, other drenched in red pepper flakes..Table/chairs outside can use an upgrade, dump the old patio furniture...Service was fine, the bright spot here..Just need to work on food a bit...

We came here last night for dinner and we’ were truly very impressed by the service and the quality of the food we ordered! The beet salad with spinach was Superb, I had the risotto with crab stuffed shrimps, Delicious! My husband had the grilled fish with mash potatoes and vegetables and it was out of this world., we are definitely coming back with the family! We highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to eat good Italian food paying very reasonable prices!!
