Came here for a 30th birthday dinner. Made a reservation and waited about 15 minutes but didn't mind..drinks and dinner were amazing although my husband asked for a baked potato and got mashed potatoes. The table next to me asked for salads to be served after appetizers and before dinner and they never received them. I was a tad disappointed that I coordinated with the hostess to have them bring out a surprise birthday dessert and it never came. Otherwise the evening was great.

Everything from start to finish at this steakhouse was impeccable! We started off with the thick cut bacon slab which was phenomenal, literally melted in my mouth. For dinner I got the NY strip medium rare which was cooked a little more rare than I’m used to and lacked a little bit of flavor because of the way it was cooked but overall the steak was good. The sides were amazing, we got the Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and creamy potatoes that were out of this world. Our waiter was great! Very friendly personal and attentive. For dessert we got their huge ice cream Sunday and it was big enough to feed 4 people. Overall Roots was an absolute hit. Great service and food. I will definitely be coming back.

I went to Roots Steakhouse on Friday October 3rd and was completely blown away by the food as well as service provided by Larry and his whole team. They’re world class and know how to provide an outstanding dining experience, including for special occasions as I went for. Would definitely recommend any cuts but especially the ribeye. Don’t miss desert either!

We've dined here before and have enjoyed the experience. Not so much this time. Cocktails were watery, and entrees were disappointing. It's been a good place, but I feel like they're slipping. Wasn't worth the price tonight.

We’ve been here before and liked it, but I believe it has slipped. We ordered cocktails and they arrived seemingly watered down. That was a first. The service was spotty and my wife’s Beef Wellington was tasteless. It’s been much better in previous visits. My ribeye was very ordinary. The tab did not reflect the meal. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a good steakhouse experience. They need to find their game again.

Great service and excellent drinks. The seafood tower is fresh and delicious. The Ribeye Mignon special is the best steak I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of them. The lobster and cherry pepper add on is a must.

Parking: Driving around to find parking is normal in ridgewood, it’s a lovely town to walk around.
