Shandiz Bistro is an elegant and spacious restaurant in Ridgewood, offering authentic Persian cuisine. The friendly and accommodating staff provide excellent service. The food is the best Mediterranean/Persian food in the area. The lamb shank was a favorite part of the menu. The space is appealing to dine in. The kabob barg is seasoned spectacularly and the flavors of their ghormeh sabzi is second to none for a restaurant in the US. Being halal is a big plus. Their salads and appetizers are excellent as well. Desserts are authentic, with faloodeh being a particular enjoyment, though tahdig can be a bit too oily. Management and staff were all exceptional, making for a very pleasant experience.
