Not entirely sure how there are so these many good reviews. The restaurant is run without any oversight or management. The location is never open consistently during stated hours. The food is either reused from another restaurant or brought in. It is severely understaffed, even if 2-3 customers walk-in, it could cause a long wait.
They ownership or management could maybe do something? Good for them for staying open this long but without making any adjustments to drive more revenue.

Vegetarian options: We tried a few chat items and the food was neither tasty nor good quality. The worst was a peanut dish (roasted peanuts) that made me nauseous. This was the worst Indian food dining experience I ever had. The staff is polite and service was good but the food was so bad that we are never going back again.

This place is a hidden gem and brings back memories of how an old world relaxed cafe atmosphere is meant to be. The food is absolutely authentic Indian street flavor (specifically for those who know Kolkata street food) and Deepmoy, who we have always met there, is an extremely polite and courteous host. I see some comments about music on Saturday evening which may be true and hopefully they fix that if it’s bothering the neighbors. But let that not deter anyone who is looking for a friendly place to hang out with some authentic Indian food from checking out this place. It’s not a place if you want an alternative for Panera - fast in fast out. This is a traditional cafe with bespoke meals and a unique vibe as the pics will show - we took them when we went there the last time. We live in nearby Glen Rock and just love going back to this place!

Looks like some sort of Indian food-cafe, however the loud music and singing is extremely irritating, keep the music inside please, especially at night.

They have speakers playing loud music on the sidewalk late at night, its incredibly annoying to anyone that lives remotely close.

I live nearby, down the block, and every Saturday night they have loudspeakers outside, on the sidewalk, blasting music outward onto the street. They've already received noise complaints, please let people sleep when its 11 pm already and at least put the speakers inside the restaurant.

Food was delicious. The owner is very nice and checks on each detail of the food from perp to delivery to your table. Flavors are authentically Indian and delicious.
Vegetarian options: 75 percent vegetarian
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. Lots of vegetarian options
Kid-friendliness: Cafe Starbucks vibe. Kids easily accommodated with supervision. Love all the books on the shelf.
