Sushi is below average not good quality. got all u can eat and ordered one round which took over 30 minutes. second round took so long and we were there for 2 hours at this point. we just cancelled the order and left cus we were tired of sitting and waiting and waiting. service shouldn’t be this slow, to this extreme. kinda upset i wasted 80 dollars for two when i could’ve gotten better somewhere else. waiters were nice but otherwise would never recommend.

My favorite all you can eat spot!

I dream of the white tuna, yellowfin, and salmon from this spot. The fish is so fresh, and buttery- it melts in my mouth. The albacore tuna & red snapper- not my thing. The samba is like a japanese version of pickled herring. The tamago is sweet and tender.

I’ve tried several special rolls, but the Ridgewood Roll is what I come back for. Usually, I’m not a fan of fried rolls because they’re very heavy, but this one is not greasy, balanced with sweet & spice, and a bit creamy from the cream cheese. Mouthwatering!

Out of the appetizers my all time favorite is the BBQ squid. It’s grilled until it’s very crispy, and covered in a sweet umami sauce.

Can’t wait to be back! Again and again:)

Best sushi in Ridgewood, probably best sushi in Bergen county. So far, I think that the three best sushi places around are Sushi Village in little falls, Sushi Kingdom in phillipsburg, and Sushi X in ridgewood. Ridgewood is very nice because it's such a trendy place to go out to eat. In spite of that, the prices are very reasonable at Sushi X and the quality of sushi is unbeaten anywhere.

For be honest, the food is good and the prices are reasonable as well. However, the first time I ordered through Uber Eats, one of the dishes never arrived. I tried to get in touch with the restaurant, but they had already closed.

The second time I ordered, I waited for about half an hour, and just when the delivery was finally on its way to my house, my order was suddenly canceled.

Sharing with you, today I had a perfect experience, I came to sushi X to eat, experienced the ultimate service, every piece of sushi is very delicious, the rice is very good, there are a lot of ingredients, you can eat as much as you want. The fish are very fresh, each one tastes very delicious, the rolls wrapped by the masters are really great, the sushi wrapped is very beautiful, the attitude of the waiter is also very good, keep adding water for us, add several times, our two girls, not much to eat, and also gave a small snack, really great experience, my friends and I are very happy, we will come again

Possibly the worst sushi I've ever had. Not even exaggerating. I'm not looking for anything crazy, and this place was AWFUL. It was undoubtedly far worse than any supermarket sushi I've ever had.

I'm not sure if these reviews are fake, but the sushi was literally dry, like a half-moist half-dry piece of fish jerky, it was the thinnest piece of sushi I've ever seen (big brick of falling apart rice and the tiniest, thinnest, piece of fish that literally looked like it was badly cut by toy scissors).

By the way, not only was the fish thin, but it was also so short that it didn't nearly cover the entire piece of rice. It only covered about half the rice. The fish itself looked grey and dull.

The waiters/waitresses were rude and terrible, bringing us the wrong thing, refusing to bring us the correct order, insisting that we had ordered something that we've never ordered before and didn't order at the time, ignoring us or looking away even though we were polite and had only ordered one plate so far. The second plate, when we finally got it, after forcing ourselves to eat the first plate and hoping it was just a one-time mistake, had rice fallen apart all over the table, the fish was cut into tiny little flakes piled on top of each other that didn't look like sushi at all but more like small little pieces of paper cut up by a third-grader with toy scissors.

I mean, this place should be closed down and the staff should never be allowed to operate a restaurant again. Scam.

Food is good, I wish they didn’t use so much panko in their mixture. For the price ($30) I can go to h-mart get a pound of sushi grade tuna/salmon and make my own. It tastes and feels like it’s 75:25 or 80:30 ratio for panko and fish.

I DoorDashed from Sushi X four times in a month, and it was fantastic every time! This is a picture of the Salmon Lover, Spider Roll, X Roll, and the Sakura Roll. I consider myself a “sushi snob” and was pleased with this place!

The food was absolutely incredible. Every appetizer was small and packed with flavor. The edamame, tuna tartar and fried scallops were some of my favorites. Every sushi roll was great specially the yummy roll and crunchy eel roll. It was an incredible dining experience. The staff refilled my water at least 3 times while I was there, never letting my glass get empty. The restaurant was full. Despite that the food came out promptly and delicious. I never felt rushed and they allowed me to enjoy and savor my food. Highly recommend to anyone that loves sushi or trying several things at once!

I have been here a few times now. It’s always a great experience and good quality. I’m giving 4 for service instead of 5 because we felt very rushed out even though there was no one waiting for tables. We were catching up with old friends and finishing up our wine however once the checked was dropped we had servers circling to see if we put down payment even though we were still eating our dessert. I would say at least 4-5 passes to look at the check within a 2 minute span. Maybe they were just trying to be efficient and not keep us waiting but it felt very much like they wanted us out. I could understand if there was a wait and we were just taking up a table but we were still eating and no one was waiting

Starting with the food: everything was delicious (of course this is based on preference on what type of sushi you like). I ordered the crab wontons, shrimp tempura roll, deep fried California rolls, shrimp tempura, and kani salad. Solid for All you can eat. The crab wontons had this good balance of sweetness from cream cheese and savory from the crab. They also have ice cream for dessert as part of the all you can eat.

The issue was the time it took for the food to be served. We made our selections, and it took about half an hour for our order to arrive. So for AYCE, you really get about 2, maybe 3 rounds before you get the check. It’s good food, but I think the speed was lackluster for about $40 per person.

The staff was very polite, but a 2 star service just for the lateness in serving the food.

It’s a cute and quaint place but it felt very cramped for me.

I went with a group of 5, and there is a mandatory 18% gratuity.
