The food is very good. However, when it gets busy it is very loud. All the walls are ceramic and there is no sound dampening. I'm sure it's fine when it's not as busy.

The place itself is beautiful. The service was a bit so-so, and the food was just okay. We ordered two lattes, a mousse, and a sandwich. The lattes came in take-out cups, which was fine, but it didn’t look as nice in photos as my wife was hoping.

Really good food and atmosphere. Very busy and crowded. However, it was fairly easy to find a seat.

Food is decent and the interior is done well. Definitely fits nicely into Ridgewood. This is my third time going and the service is subpar every time. Some of the employees were nice and helpful, majorly at the ordering bar and the workers serving to your table. However the baristas, 2 females - young to mid 20s, were incredibly rude. Definitely an experience I will relay to others.

It's busy, but I ordered a pastry. The pastry was taste-wise not anything to write home about. The people packed my pastry in the same box as the person before me! Then, they just passed me another box to remedy the issue. Don't waste your time at this chain.

I was so excited to see it open in ridgewood because I had been to boston locations before. On opening day morning I got the prosciutto and parmesan egg plate. It was excellent. The staff was extremely nice and the atmosphere felt exactly how a tatte should.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this place just didn’t do it for me.

The space itself is clean and bright, which I appreciated. But the ordering process was a little confusing if it’s your first time—you order at the counter, get a table number, then find your own seat. It felt more like a self-serve setup than an actual sit-down experience.

Service was pretty bare. We didn’t get any napkins with our coffee or almond croissant, and I had to go look for someone just to get some. You only get one napkin wrapped with your utensils when your food comes out, which honestly isn’t enough. Would’ve been nice to have a napkin dispenser at each table.

We tried the “breakfast sandwich” (eggs, Vermont cheddar, and applewood smoked bacon on house sourdough), and it was super underwhelming barely any bacon, and felt like something I could make at home. The sourdough was the best part, and probably the only thing that felt worth the price.

I also tried the “Egg in the Hole” (Jerusalem bagel, eggs, and chopped salad) it looked great, but lacked flavor other then overpowering flavor of the salad that reminded me of pico de gallo

The coffee (cold brew and iced latte) was okay—nothing special, and on the smaller side.

The almond croissant was the only thing I genuinely enjoyed—flaky and solid, but pretty standard.

Overall, maybe i ordered the wrong items but just didn’t feel worth the price or the hype.

This was my wife’s and my first visit to Tatte, and overall, we had a mixed experience.

The Good:
We stopped in for sandwiches and dessert before heading to a concert in the park. I ordered the Chicken Pita Sandwich and a cup of soup. The sandwich was flavorful and exactly what I expected. The soup had good flavor but was unfortunately served lukewarm.

The Not-So-Good:
My wife ordered the Turkey Avocado Sandwich, which was a letdown. There was literally one slice of turkey on the sandwich — pretty underwhelming for the price.

Dessert Saved the Day:
We shared an almond croissant for dessert, and it was excellent — flaky, flavorful, and a highlight of the meal.

Overall:
I’d give Tatte 3 stars. While I might return for coffee and a pastry, I’d likely skip the sandwiches next time.
