Wilkes is an excellent local gem with delicious sandwiches and homemade deli staples and desserts. You MUST try the German potato salad, it's absolutely fantastic and rivals my mothers (may she never read this review!). I've come in many times and whether it's busy or not the service is always friendly and efficient. Great food and great people.

Been here before was traveling on the road and ordered a corned beef Reuben ahead for a quick lunch. Picked up and it was cold. Walked back and asked them if this was right or if it could be heated up. They said their grill was off. It was 230p they could’ve told me that on the phone. And they are open until 7p. Who knew that two dell's with the same name , spelling in such close proximity would exist. Apparently there is a loyal customer base and while my unintended destination if ever I'm a pastrami need. Not bad at all.

Simply one of the best delis in North Jersey. Do yourself a favor and try their potato salad, it rocks. Their roast beef is excellent as well. They make a hell of a sandwich and have for many years. I've been coming here since the 80s, and the quality never wavers.
It is a small place but with a wide variety of food made with a lot of love and very affordable prices. They also have a supplier where they have everything from charcoal, coarse salt and a variety of things from the basic basket.

Very disappointing. Ordered two sandwich platters and Reuben appetizers for the Playoffs. I ordered one mixed sandwich platter and a platter of sloppy joes. I received two platters of sloppy Joe sandwiches. Not what I ordered. Regardless, the sandwiches were dry and hardly had any meat or cole slaw. I was not provided extra dressing either. That was over $100 out the window. The Reuben appetizers were small open faces sandwiches on weird tasting bread. I would never order from here again.
