Different Cheesesteak #1173. Sorry, I say NY in video many times. River Vale is in NJ. I was wondering why there were all NJ license plates in the parking lot. I googled it. Anyway, River Vale, nice little town. Kenny’s is their version of a Popi/Corner Store. Kenny’s has everything in there. Including an old timer reading the newspaper. You want a cheesesteak at 9:30 am on a Monday morning, No Problem, Kenny will make it for you. The roll was cut completely in half....
Have been looking for a Thai restaurant that is closer (than trudging down Route 17 to East Rutherford) to my home with easier to find parking…..and boy, did I find it. Lovely restaurant, with a decent sized shared parking lot. Wait staff is friendly, helpful and will guide you should you have any questions, or need recommendations. Shared a Fried Pork Belly salad, that was outstanding. Pork was crispy and delicious without being super fatty. Salad was enough for 4 starter portions...
Full disclosure: DoorDash delivery at work, but an order of three large dishes arrived hot and fast! We’ve tried a lot of Thai places in this area, and this Thai dish is likely my favorite. I had the crispy pork belly basil with veggies and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were hot and tasty. The pork belly was perfectly spiced and seasoned, had a ton of flavor, and was super crispy. The veggies were sautéed just right. And the addition of the pineapple added amazing acidity...
