I went to Louie’s by Chef Jason in Robbinsville for a private party. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken parmigiana—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was warm and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and modern. Everything felt well-run and welcoming. Highly recommend for special events or a great night out.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here. We all enjoyed our meals. Halibut, pretzel chicken, short rib were all very enjoyable. The servers were very kind and attentive. I noticed when it came to atmosphere there wasn’t too much change from when it was Shrimp King. There’s a smell when you walk in and the flooring is very uneven. Pretty dim for a restaurant all the windows were shut and it was a beautiful day. Also holiday decor in April? The restaurant could definitely use a make over.

We ordered scallops and the chef left the muscle attached to the scallops on. A definite miss. The bread slices were soaking in oil and of 6 pieces only 3 roasted garlic cloves. The usually high quality was not experienced this evening. On a positive note the servers were attentive.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I confirmed online, and on their own doors, Louie’s by Chef Jason is open until 10 pm. My husband and I walked in at 7:30, waited approx 10 min at the front host area. We were not greeted. My husband walked into the dining room to see an employee. We asked if we could be seated he said one moment, went into the back of house, and came out to say they are no longer seating for the night. This is super disappointing as I have passed this restaurant almost every day and couldn’t wait to try it out! With the great reviews and the lovely menu, this place was on my bucket list! We have 3 little kids so we don’t get to have date night very often. Sad to say we will not be returning after the poor experience we had. And, we are looking for a restaurant to cater or host our daughter’s birthday his spring.

I had dinner here on the first Friday night of 2025 and the food was fresh, hot and very tasty! I had the Boom Boom Chicken, which was beyond delicious and I highly recommend, my friend had the Pretzel Crusted Chicken and loved it! Our server was very professional, polite and attentive, and the restaurant was quiet, clean and nicely decorated. I recommend this relatively new restaurant and I will be back!

We had a reservation on December 27th and three hours before it was canceled. I called the restaurant three times to be sure, left a message, never got a call back. We were meeting friends and both of us were driving an hour to try this place we had never been, big disappointment. We had to cancel our plans to meet. Did they go out of business?
