I went in today for lunch with a good friend who is fighting cancer and haven't seen in a long time. Her stomache is very fickle and she did amazingly well with the food. It's definitely leaning towards fine dining. Linen table cloths, linen knapkins, polished silverware, white glove service without the gloves. Our sever observed us without being intrusive. He only served the next dished when we stopped eating the first one. If you're accustomed to being entertained by your server, this is not for you. If you value uninterrupted time spent with your guest while still not being neglected, this is for you. I actually like it when the server is vigilant but not overbearing. I want to enjoy the food, take in the atmosphere and speak with my friend, and our server allowed us to just be present. We never had to ask for anything. It was brought out at the right time, our needs were anticipated and we were greeted by Chef Jason, who greeted every table. I recommend the truffle oil fries, beet salad and hand held chicken pesto. The presentation of all three dishes was beautiful. Thank you so much. It was a really good experience.

Good food. Great portions and good service. We went on a Sunday night. Not busy at all. Nice and quiet.

Food was alright, but they will not accommodate anything. We tried to substitute mashed potatoes for grilled potatoes and it was a problem with the waiter rolling his eyes and seeming flustered. If you do want to try it go on a week day because the staff is not equipped to handle a semi busy crowd. The waiter referenced multiple times how they are SO busy on the weekends they can’t accommodate their customers. Would not go back.

The food here was good. Cooked well and quality ingredients used. The service however was terrible!!! We got a very small water offered at the beginning of our meal (never offered anything else) and that was never refilled ever! I was thirsty our whole meal. The waiter only came by maybe twice the entire time we were there (and was gone before I could ask for water) and we just sat and waited forever after we finished just to pay. Would not go back. Terrible experience!

My visit to Louie's by Chef Jason was a highlight I'll long remember. After meeting Dom and Chef Jason at a Phillies game and hearing about their restaurant, I was intrigued enough to make the 45-minute drive. That decision was rewarded with an unforgettable dining experience, one that I'd gladly make a longer trip for.The atmosphere was perfectly suited for Valentine's Day warm and inviting. The standout dish for me was the Boom Boom Chicken. As someone typically indifferent to chicken parm, I was amazed by the flavor and quality of this dish. My girlfriend's short rib was just as impressive. Our waiter, Saul, deserves a special mention for his exceptional service, enhancing our evening with his attentiveness and knowledge of the menu. Dom and Chef Jason themselves really brought the whole experience full circle, adding a personal touch that was much appreciated. In conclusion, Louie's by Chef Jason is more than just a meal it's an experience worth every mile. The combination of delicious food, a great atmosphere, and personal service makes it a must-visit destination. It is refreshing to see a restaurant with a real passion for the food it puts on the table.

Byob, but there's an alcohol store within walking distance. Very quaint and intimate and perfect for date night! The food was outstanding and something I would not expect. We had the steak and the black bass, and both dishes were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend for a first date.

Last week, we decided to give Louie's a try and made a reservation. Although updates have been made, the restaurant still has the feel of the old Shrimp King. Entrance really needs updating. The steps are a hazard and no wheelchair access. Food was just okay and quite pricey. I had salmon and my husband had a seafood combo. Ambiance is lacking. However, the wait staff are very attentive and pleasant. Not sure I would return.

I made a reservation for the restaurant weeks ago. I got a call from the restaurant saying that due to the flow of the Super Bowl and other events, it was a last-minute decision to decide they were going to take out for tomorrow night. So, I rescheduled the restaurant for a different day. I told my mom about this, and she got mad at the restaurant management for not letting the customers know in a week of the event to see if it was going to be a problem. It was great that the restaurant called and explained the situation. Execution needs work of communication when discussing events or holidays going forward to advance notice during the reservation was made.

At this point, I've enjoyed several meals at the restaurant, as well as having ordered takeout dishes on numerous occasions. I've also had them cater a gathering at my home.In all cases, the food has been excellent, and the portions generous. I will typically be able to get two meals out of a dinner entree. The atmosphere is homey, and the servers and service have always been terrific. Some of my favorites include the Short Rib Mac & Cheese; the Braised Short Rib with Risotto; Chicken Cacciatore; the Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad; the Boom Boom Chicken; the Brussels Sprouts with smoked Pork Belly; the Cranbury Meatballs; and Seafood Fra Diavolo. All have been ver satisfying!Louie's does not have a liquor licenss, so it's BYOB... but there's a liquor store conveniently located next door, so whatever you might want to drink is all just a short walk away!Highly recommended!
