El Asadero Mexican Grill Rochelle Park

Over 3 - told the waiter I had shellfish allergy he said I could only order from the steak menu 22$ and up plates. I wanted chicken enchiladas but he said shellfish cross contamination? I didn't like my steak at all but I tried too. Atmosphere is exiting and fun.

Overall, the food is quite good, better than the average Mexican fare. However, this time we ordered the nachos and they were uninspiring to say the least. We received something that I would only imagine a restaurant chain like TGI Friday's would serve with a liquidy cheese sauce and equally as liquidy black bean sauce. Extremely un impressive. The cocktails are always quite good and the tequila selection is excellent.

The outdoor seating was wonderful! Made you feel like you were on vacation! The staff were wonderful! So pleasant and kind!
However, this was THE WORST Mexican food i have every had…fajitas tasteless, steak tough… my sons tacos also tasteless, daughter in laws enchiladas tasteless… how people are raving about this food is beyond me!!! Just awful!
Im upset because the atmosphere is so great inside and out and would have loved to go back for Mariachi because i love it! But thats not happening!

Been going to the Rochelle Park location for years. Last two meals we had we average at best. Steak was fairly tough and chicken was on the grill a little too long. Such a disappointment as the food had always been really good. Table-side guacamole was amazing and drinks were well made. We were also near the dirty dish bussing station and servers were throwing dirty dishes in like they were taking 3 point shots. Server was really good as always. Not sure we will be going back though

Had a amazing porterhouse steak there. Drinks a little pricing but great food!

Way over-priced for what it is. Two staff spoke to each other disparagingly of me, in Spanish- right in front of me. I'm married to a Puerto Rican: I SPEAK SPANISH!
Portion sizes are modest for the exorbitant price.
Food mostly seems authentic. The outside seating in a garden area is really nice in good weather. The outside decorations- tractors, sculpted farm animals, and the dazzling fairy lights in the trees- create a surreal Mexicana Disneyland effect.

Watch out! This place adds a 20 percent gratuity AUTOMATICALLY, regardless of the size of your party! ( I was traveling for business,and dining alone.)Despite slow and surly service.
Save your money. Go somewhere else.

We came to have dinner with our baby boy and we LOVED LOVED the food, the service, the music, and our waiter Carlos was a 10/10, so sweet and attentive!

Everything is great but be careful with the tips.20% is pre-added, but when you pay,the terminal is going to ask you again if you want to pay tips. If you didn’t pay attention on the previous page. You would think you didn’t pay for tips.

El Asadero was a fun, unique experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Lots of birthdays, and the mariachi band moving around the tables was pretty great. Overall my family really enjoyed, and I'm sure we'll be back again.

Second (and last) time here. Tacos were bland and mostly fat — no flavor at all. Guacamole was the only decent part.

They sat us by the door even though the place was almost empty. Staff was loudly criticizing other customers, and no one asked how our meal was. I would’ve told them.

Also, they added a 20% tip for just two people without saying anything. Not worth coming back.
