I always stop by when I’m in Rockaway ! great food and super friendly service. The owner, Anan, is really welcoming and great !!
Wow Amazing Sandwich they made When I got there I was so hungry And I don’t know what to eat and the Cheef from there made me a amazing sandwich So So good 😋 can’t imagine he can made a sandwich with corned beef and chili beans and cheese and all the ingredients he put ufff so good thanks Cheef! 👌🏻
I just order a pastrami on rye with mustard. This was the worst pastrami sandwich ever. The meat was sliced from deli meat. He heated it the microwave. It was ice cold in some spot of the sandwich. I just threw it in the garbage.

I went in there trying to buy something cheap, since it was for for this homeless dude I met down the road, so I went in there looking around at the lower priced items like bread, bananas, things like that. after asking how much the empanadas were I looked around where the bread and bananas were laying and when I asked how much the banana was I got this very rude response. he(south Asian guy) said( from what I could hear behind my motorcycle helmet), "—here take the potato roll– you have no money, here– eat that– you liked that.(since i previouslypick the roll up but put it down. dashes to break what I couldnt hear/understand)" and handed me the buttered roll and put his hand up in a shoo be away gesture. 1, if I actually didn't have money then cool thanks for the food but 2, he did it in a very unfriendly manner. afterwards as I stood there as a with just happened he shooed me away for a second time. I would have left and bought nothing, but I wanted to give something to the dude I met walking down the road.tl;dr- he thought I was poor so he shoved a buttered roll at me and shooed me away twice.+1 for the help, but then -1 for each shoo. so it's leaving me at a -1 for my experience.

Everything! Anon makes great food in general no matter what it is. Stop in and support our local deli for breakfast, lunch or grab something on the way home.
Best sandwiches in the area! Quality ingredients make such a difference.

Ordered lunch from Green Pond Deli. They must be a breakfast spot because lunch was borderline inedible.I ordered Chicken Fingers with fries, mozzarella sticks, and two empanadas: One Ham+Cheese and One Chicken.Chicken fingers were ok, a bit dry but the honey mustard improved the moisture. Fries were soggy.Mozzarella sticks were bad, probably the worst I've had. They were greasy and the breading fell off before it made it to my mouth. I bit it and it was like rubber. Almost like they microwaved them to defrost and then fried it in cold oil.I was optimistic about the empanadas until I bit into the Ham and Cheese. It tasted fine but just so greasy. Then I noticed the ham was 3 different colors, white, grey and pink. Turned me off. Finally, the chicken empanada, was ok. Greasy but tasty. Made with well seasoned dark meat.Overall, disappointed. not coming back for lunch... I guess the fryer wasn't up to temp when they started making the food but microwaving mozzarella sticks in not a time saving tip, it just makes it worse. I'd rather have good food late than bad food on time. 2 starts because of the 5 things I ate, 2 were good.
Absolutely great food , order a chicken cutlet sandwich with lettuce, tomato cheese and onion it was fantastic at a great price.
This Deli is the 'Real Deal', for sure. The meats like Roast Beef, Pastrami, and Corned Beef are all prepared fresh and are mouth-watering delicious! I have enjoyed every homemade side salad available, too! The portions are overly generous, and this is coming from someone who can eat a lot! The soups here are excellent, as well! I highly recommend you check out this special little Deli because I'm sure it will quickly become a favorite!
WOW... Stopped by for lunch today; skeptical due to the low reviews. But was blown away with how fresh the meat and other toppings on my Italian Sub were. Tasted so amazing. Filling and very well priced!
Great people and food
