IWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!
I’ve been in the service business s1963. In Princeton since 1971. I’m still working in the same business! My friend and I went for lunch today at the RHI… I was served a VERY inedible salmon burger. I didn’t complain about it at that time. I really don’t like making scenes! The waitress/bartender asked if I needed a box to take home. I said “ no thank you”. My friend actually spoke up and politely told her it was to dry. He did try it and totally agreed! That’s when I reminded her that I had asked for the sauce on the side but of course it was on the burger. She blamed the kitchen and took it away. It remained on the check . There was absolutely no apology! We paid the check and left! An hour or so later I decided to call and speak to the manger. When the “ manager” finally picked up. I began to let her know what happened and when she realized there was an issue , she interrupted me asked if I said anything about it when I was there. I decided it wouldn’t be worth it. We paid the price, tipped, and left. I was unable to get a word because she just kept interrupting me in a raised voice and hung up the phone!!! I have no idea what she thought I was expecting. I called back immediately in hopes of speaking to someone who cares about how the employees are handling an issue. Instead…the same person answered the phone. She evidently recognized my number and answered screaming threats to call the police All I wanted to say is because of the way they handled the situation I wouldn’t be back!!! And I hung up and decided to write a review. I’ve said for decades that the best way to judge any business is see how a problem is handled! They earned an F- !!!

The service and setting were great, but the food was odd. The shepherds pie was very soupy, with too much liquid. The hummus platter was just ok. Dishes could be a lot better for the price.

Rocky Hill Tavern is a great spot to hang out with friends, colleagues, or coworkers in the Princeton area. It has a relaxed gastro pub atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after work or on the weekend.

The drink menu offers a great selection of beers, though the cocktail options are more limited. However, you'll still find plenty to choose from to pair with your meal.

When it comes to the food, Vegetarian Burger and the salmon were excellent. The dishes tasted fresh and were clearly made to order. For dessert, the tiramisu and chocolate lava cake are both solid choices.

Overall, if you're looking for a casual and enjoyable place to grab a good meal and a beer with friends, Rocky Hill Tavern is a great option.

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the porch along with our dog. The waitress was extremely friendly and brought the dog bacon cheese and water! The food was delicious and we were not rushed at all. They are known for their burgers but we all ordered the pot pies and were very happy with them.

What a shame the hamburgers here and there was a nice thick juicy burger now it’s like a patty you buy frozen no taste horrible I could get the same thing at McDonald’s may be juicier and but I have to say the hot wings were delicious. I was looking forward to it now I will not be back!

Just left The Rocky Hill Inn- we were overtaken by the extreme foul smell from the bar- raw sewage- heard one bartender say “ no use complaining about it since there’s nothing we can do about it- well, we did! We left- won’t be back!!!
