Manny's drinks were superb as always. Our guests were impressed with the pasta special. My flatiron steak was excellent. Abbie's service was perfect!
I've been here twice and the food is always great! The ambiance is so nice, it's never noisy, just expect to be there a while-I'm not sure if it's on purpose or it's always typically slower service. Other than that everything is always amazing. We had the zucchini fritters, stuffed calamari, burratta(special), and bacon appetizers were all phenomenal!
An exceptional dinning experience. My wife and I both had pasta dishes and they were some of the best pasta we have ever tasted. The service was outstanding which only added to enjoyment of the meal. We had not been back to One 53 in some time, but we shall return in the near future. We are "hooked!"
It's been a while since my last visit and really have to question why it's taken so long to return! Food was great! had the calamari (grilled w/crabmeat- awesome!) and tomato salad as apps along with/Swordfish special and the seafood risotto. Very pleased with everything served!
One53 never disappoints. Excellent and varied menu coupled with stellar service and cozy ambiance combine to make this a local dining favorite for us.
Manager Craig was welcoming and personable. Bartender Manny was on top of his game. Server Marilyn was outstanding. The chef prepared beyond exceptional meals: another excellent experience at One53.
wonderful spicy gazpacho, scotch blossoms cooked perfectly(so lightly fried best ever tasted.) Sword fish blackened excellent. Asapargus tasted amazing. So many times they have no taste.Tiramusi was just okay,A little heavy for my taste. Overall A plus service also seamless and friendly. The wine list is fairly priced We will return soon.
We started going to this restaurant when it opened. It has maintained consistently high standards through the years. Celebrating our anniversary, we had a friendly and informative waiter. Lovely cocktails, wonderful ambiance. The shrimp and grits dish was as good as anything I've had in Charleston.
Dinner was perfect. So many great menu options and specials, as well as wine. Dessert was amazing, as well as the service.
I ate outside, with my fiancée! We enjoyed the service as she was extremely attentive! We were the only ones outside, right at 5 PM! I enjoyed the shrimp and grits! Superb! And my fiancée partook in the house burger and loved it! This was our first time, but not our last! Definitely try it!

Outstanding food and service!!! It's the best meal I have had in the Princeton area in the last 20 years.
The ambiance at the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the food was truly excellent—especially the flounder with lemon beurre blanc, which was a standout. The pork chop and steak could have used a touch more seasoning, but they were still very tasty and well-prepared. The drinks are generously poured and nicely strong, which I appreciated. The only slightly off note in an otherwise lovely experience was that shortly after we were seated around 5:15, a hostess came by to let us know the table would need to be turned by 7:30. While I understand the intent was to set expectations, the timing of the message felt a bit rude. Our party of five was finished and out the door by 6:40, so it ended up being a non-issue, but I think the hostess could have handled it with a bit more finesse.
Great meal. I did forget the escargot is served in a broth like liquid that makes the dough its cooked in doughy. It would be better in dry pastry covering or just garlic in an escargot plate. Otherwise the food was exceptional. Our attentive server Marilyn made our meal all the better.
Great food and service. Highly recommend. Beef, lamb and pasta were all top notch. Try the grilled oysters.
The basement is more quiet and good space between tables. Upstairs tables are very close together. We all enjoyed the food. The fish was a bit overcooked but meal was tasty.
