Great store, my 8 year old son found this place while riding his bike around the neighborhood he stepped in to buy himself some candy the shop owner was very helpful he helped my son count out the money he needed (it was his first time going to the store on his own) and made it a great first experience for him. I stopped by after that for a sandwich and it was delicious. Very good. If you’re in the area support this local business ????

Ordered through Grub Hub. Waited forever only to have driver tell me they changed their menu and couldn’t fill my order. Restaurant never contacted me to let me know!

We got the chicken shawarma w/ white rice and tahini sauce and a chicken empanada. It’s so fresh and delicious every time! Another plus is the owner George, he is so kind and always has a smile on his face. 10/10 would recommend ?

For $22, we had a very filling meal for two. We got a mix grill platter with rice and tahini sauce. The grilled chicken and kofta was excellent, the lamb was chewy- but for what it was, I'd say great value and great flavors. We also tried a chicken and beef empanada, both tasty. We will be back, and next time hope to get a nice catering tray for a party.

So glad to have found this place! The chicken kebab platter and the grilled chicken platter are both delicious; both chicken but different preparation. The chicken is perfectly and deliciously seasoned, made to order. The result is tender and succulent. The portions are generous, too :) The owner is super nice and takes pride in his food. They don't keep cooked grilled food around here, which means you have to call ahead or be ready to wait 25 minutes for your order, but it's well worth it. Highly recommend!

While heading home from Westfield I looked up Mediterranean cuisine on my way home to Elizabeth. Much to my surprise, Roselle Park Deli & Grill popped up. Most of my experience with Roselle Park is in the area around the train station, so I had no idea this place existed! Shout out to the Yelp app for this find. Unlike some other restaurants in Roselle Park, this one is tucked away in a literal corner of a residential area. No kidding, for several blocks around there are only residential houses and one small public park. The term "deli" is a bit misleading as you don't go here to get potato chips and bagels with cream cheese or anything like that. Instead, this place has a literal grill and specializes in grilled meat dishes. It is run by a couple and I appreciated the small "mom and pop" nature of the business. I wound up ordering the Grilled Chicken Shawarma, Grilled Chicken Kabob and a large order of Falafel. The Shawarma was almost like a stir fry of wonderfully seasoned chicken with peppers and onions. The Kabob was made up of big chunks of moist and well seasoned chicken. The Falafel was okay, but not the best I've ever had. Overall I would give the food a solid A- and I would definitely get food hear again. A couple caveats that kept me from going full 5 stars. First, from beginning to end the order takes a half hour to fill (it says it right on the menu). Now, I'm all for fresh food, but other places I get similar food from (such as Turco in Manhattan) whip up equally fresh dishes in 15-20 minutes tops. So be prepared for a wait (the neighborhood is nice to walk around). The other issue? My order of 12 Falafel was reduced to 10 because they ran out. That in itself is not a bit deal. However, I was told that my bill had been adjusted to account for this, so I paid and left but after I took a look I realized it had not been adjusted at all. We're talking a difference of about $2 so this is NOT a huge deal, but it is something I will keep in mind the next time I visit. I absolutely recommend Roselle Park Deli & Grill with the above reservations.

Been looking for local spot with good shwarma since I stopped commuting to the city. Look no further, shwarma was great, yogurt sauce was phenomenal. Portions were good for the price. Owner was super friendly but messed up my order.

Gracious, welcoming host! Wonderful food ... truly wonderful. The vegetables were so gently seasoned but so delicious. The shrimp was plentiful, large, indulgent. Excellent texture on the rice. Just a thoroughly satisfying experience. The neighborhood must be so proud to have such a place, and such kind people. They seem to do a lot of takeout and catering, but eating in-house gives you time to enjoy the aromas! Will return.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The owners were really friendly and obviously passionate about their food. Then we tasted the food. Wow. We tried the shrimp schwarma plates. They were so good. The shrimp were big and tasty. There were three skewers of four each. And there was rice and a bowl of veggies. At first, I was a little disappointed because Google mentioned roasted veggies. However the bowl of veggies were not roasted. Then I tasted then. No more disappointment. They tasted so good.Back to the owners... They were so happy that we liked the food and so nice to everyone who came in through the door. I read one Google review that said that they were rude. I wonder if this person was at the same restaurant? If they were, they must have been rude first because there's no way that these people would be rude without provocation. They are super nice.We don't live in the same state but if we ever go back to Newark, we will be eating here again.
