“Hidden gem! The food is simple fast food with a lot of variety and better ingredients than actual fast food. I don't recall if there was seating but it's a smaller place so I take my food to go. If there's anything to improve, I'd say using even better ingredients somehow but that could be too expensive or maybe updating the interior for a better atmosphere. Only negative I've encountered is that the fries weren't too crispy but that could just be for me. Personally I think it's still 5 stars! I got the chicken gyro. Affordable, delicious, and good quality food with friendly and kind staff! Thanks for the meal! 🙏❤️“

“Jeff made us feel at home! I originally came in from Brooklyn, NY to come visit a friend out in Jersey! My first time here felt like I’ve been here before. Jeff recommended some special sauces to us for the wings and it stands out compared to other places. We allowed us to taste test a hot sauce, which wasn’t just hot, but flavorful as well! He held wonderful conversations with us and was able to relate to us in a lot of ways. His engagement made us want to come back! I’ll be here once again if I find myself around town again. “Simply put, the trip to Staten Island is worth it for Denino’s.

The regular cheese pie alone is outstanding. Perfect crust with that slight crisp underneath, great char on the bubbles, fresh mozzarella, balanced sauce, and just the right amount of basil. It’s simple, but when it’s done this well, that’s all you need.

The vodka pie was unreal. The sauce is creamy, rich, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. It coats the mozzarella perfectly and the crust still holds up slice after slice. That sweet, slightly tangy vodka sauce with the char from the oven is a combination that’s hard to beat.

The buffalo wings were excellent. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and the sauce had real flavor, not just heat. The fried zucchini was a sleeper hit. Perfectly breaded, crunchy, and great dipped in marinara. Even the sautéed spinach with garlic was fresh and done right.

Denino’s feels old school in the best way. Big menu, generous portions, and food that’s consistent and confident. Nothing trendy. Just really good Italian food and pizza that delivers. The service was amazing too. They were very attentive to us and shook everyone’s hand at the end of the meal. What a great experience!“

“I had a birthday party for my daughter here. In all we were about 20 guests. Kim and husband created a special menu for the occasion. It was absolutely amazing! Everyone raved about how delicious everything was. We had cold antipasto, rice balls, eggplant rollatini, calamari, chicken wings and pizza. There was so much food! “The food here is sooo good. Me and my friend were recommended to come here and get something for our Halloween movie watch party. So we said why not? We were not disappointed in the slightest bit. You can smell the food down the street and the atmosphere when you walk in is 10/10. The staff inside are so nice. The portion are hefty and plentiful. The food was so delicious. I got their shrimp, fish and wings plate with fried okra, potato salad and sweet potato fries. My friend got the catfish, wings and fries plate with collard greens, candied yams and fried sweet plantains. We also decided to get their peach cobbler wings. Worth every penny.“

We ordered some local beers (good variety on tap) $10 a beer, and an order of the bang bang shrimp. I am still thinking about them.....for $18 there was a good amount of shrimp, the sauce was perfect and the crispiness of the shrimp was the best I have ever had. I was seriously craving wings, and since we live in Harrison—right next to Newark—my husband suggested we check out Darby’s Wings. Great call. Our order was ready in about 12 minutes, and the wings came out perfectly crispy and incredibly juicy. The sticky wing sauce? Absolutely mouthwatering. “Always friendly and service is good. Food cooked and ready for pickup promptly. I love the board where you can add a sadaqa (charity) meal for someone to eat. You purchase an item on the menu and pin it to the board. When someone comes in who is needy, They just pick a ticket from the board and they can eat. What a novel idea to spread around.“
