My husband recently hosted a bunch of old college buddies and their wives for our wedding! Since about 25 of them were visiting the Shore area for the first time, he wanted to make sure they experienced all the sights and sounds Monmouth County has to offer. Normally, finding something fun (and legal) for a large group of out-of-towners to do after midnight is a challenge—but not in Rumson! He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste...
We wandered in here on St. Patrick’s Day even though the website said they were closed on Sundays. Speakeasy bar in a residential neighborhood with friendly bar maids and locals.To crowded to order food but, I definitely will be back to try the “eats”!Went back last night for “eats “ and had the thin crust pizza, if you’re a fan of this kind of pie as am I this is your place. They have a generous drink pour also. It is now in my regular monthly rotation!
Great neighborhood spot. Unquie. Nothing like in the area. But let's be honest here folks. You are basically drinking in someones home basement. A bit overrated. That being said, Rob and Heather are the best and they make you feel welcome everytime. Just a refresh would do wonders.
