This week's specials (9/26) specifically the mushroom bruschetta and the halibut were over the moon amazing! Highly recommend these two dishes while they are available. Everything else on menu is always awesome, cooked with love and care by a great team! The service is always provided with a smile and a laugh. Consistency is the key at VPT and we thankful for it!

Have not been to the tavern in a while and I have been missing out. The Tuna app and the halibut were amazing ! Staff super friendly. Owner is very present in a good way. Highly recommended

Check in was terrible. We were on time, checked in at the front desk, then were ignored for 15 minutes while the young woman at the front desk played with the computer. Even though there were many tables open, we were not seated until 6:20. The noise level was terrible (they seated a table of eight very loud women right in the middle, instead of in the side room, where they would not have dominated the entire restaurant and where there were available tables.

Overall excellent experience as we celebrated 3 birthdays. My only comment on food other than everyone enjoyed their meals, is that my NY strip, although done to perfection, was a bit on the tasteless side even with an interesting sauce on top. I would choose something else next time.

It was a great spot. Our server was perfect apps & entres were very good but Frankly it's a local spot and found the people around us were rude & loud and didn't care about the others around them
The food was absolutely delicious! I loved my halibut special and my friends loved the steak, the lobster risotto and the dayboat scallops. Every meal was great! And the waitress was so friendly and competent. It was a great night!

I am a vegan, and although they had an Impossible burger on their menu, it would have to be served on a plate because they did not offer dairy-free rolls or bread. I find it ridiculous given the large variety of meat, seafood, and cheese-based items they offered, that they could not provide a single dairy-free roll or bread. Most breads and rolls are vegan,, yet the restaurant only served brioche rolls which are not. I wound up ordering a simple salad and 2 side dishes (sauteed spinach and onion rings). What I did receive was plentiful and delicious, I know people usually roll their eyes about vegans, but the reason I do not eat dairy - besides the horrible living conditions (factory farms) where most animals are raised, is that the males (chicks and calves) born into the dairy industry are usually killed immediately after birth. Males have no purpose in the dairy industry so are disposed of.
