We went there with the family for a special birthday celebration! The food was fabulous, as always, the atmosphere was clean and cozy, our server, Micky, was very attentive to our needs, knowable, polite, and carried a beautiful smile! Thank you for this wonderful experience!!

We arrived there by 5.30pm with a family of four. Few tables were occupied. We asked them to be sitted next to window since they were empty, the host said it was reserved. She said it was reserved to someone else. Since, when they reserve a specific table to people. Manager showed up saying they are coming in by 6pm, which the table was still empty when we left there by 6.30pm.They walked us to the additional dining area where the table they gave us was in the center of the room, where there were 2 empty window tables available. When we requested those, the host went to ask the manager again. They kept insisting at the center table. They gave the table after all but what a frustration!We had been there so many times over the years, they kept changing the managers for the past 2 years and now the place is going down for sure.Very disappointed!!!!

Amazing - from the staff's attentiveness to the food. I've visited this restaurant 3 times now and the hour plus drive is totally worth it. The Tin Can Nachos and the Surf Fries are our absolute favorite!!!!

This place has gone downhill since it opened. I would’ve given three stars except the waitress was very nice and attentive. The brisket was dry. The tacos lacked flavor.

We brought our baby out for the first time here today and the staff was so understanding and accommodating. They were able to switch tables for us to make it better suited for our situation. The food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be back. It was a great experience.

After visiting this place and now hearing about the unsafe work environment the management and owners provide for the employees, I would never step foot in there again!It's disgusting that management would let a regular get so inebriated and allow this regular to grab a female bartenders breast and allow him to stay just because he spends money at this establishment.I hope his money means more to you than all the other self-respecting clients that used to walk through your door. If you support this business, you support their unsafe and unlawful practices.

Visiting a friend in Rumson we picked up dinner at Surf Bar & Grill. It was our third time picking up dinner there. I always get the Shrimp Tacos. My wife and friend got chicken tacos this time. You get two tacos and nothing else. No rice, beans, chips or salsa. Everything has always been delicious. I would like to eat there instead of taking food out. The pricing was a little high for just 2 tacos and no sides along with it.

I feel like it's harder than it should be to find a quality restaurant in Monmouth county with a good craft beer selection, which is why I'm thankful for Surf. They always have a great selection of local craft beers as well as beers from NY breweries that I can never find in NJ. The beer selection alone is enough of a reason to check this place out, but the food is tasty too! Their burger does not disappoint - plus they've got a burger and beer special on Wednesdays.
Mrs. and I had a wonderful evening good drinks and food. This night, the service was excellent! I neglected to get the hostess' name but she was fantastic. We felt like VIPs and that has seldomly been experienced in the post 19 era! (COVID)Had the Ribs very tender, skip lunch... the portions are hearty!!!

Sat at bar. Bartenders friendly but overworked. Kitchen very sloooow. Make sure your pulled pork is warmed up, mine was room temp at best. Ask for side of BBQ sauce if you wish. Big portion of meat and hot fries.

The dishes we had were AMAZING! Definitely a highlight to my birthday weekend! The Tin Can Nachos are big enough for four people to share. We opted for half since there was two of us. The mac and cheese is good and cheesy lol. Now as for the Entrees…OUTSTANDING! We ordered the pastrami sandwich and tuna poke bowl. Now, I know these seem like simple things but it’s what they did with them that blew us away! The flavors were immaculate. The pastrami sandwich is served on a monthly basis and only during the first weekend of the month at that. Pastrami had a nice smoke flavor to it and wasn’t thinly sliced. The tuna poke bowl was awesome. The slightly seared tuna and the crispness of the veggies just pulled everything together! Drinks are great! The southern apple cobbler was just…immaculate! Surf BBQ thank you!!

Wings very good smoked then deep fried. Definitely taste the smoke flavor, sauce on the side.Burger was good but no secret sauce? Just plain for a BBQ place you need to come up with a Burger Sauce
