I’ve been a Bagel Supreme regular for sometime as it’s a relaxed place to pick up breakfast or stop by for lunch. Most of the time, the person helping me has been great, but I had a bad experience this afternoon and felt like it could help to share. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich on a roll with lto and cheese. I was the only person there as it was a late lunch. The total came out to $11.73 and this is where it started going downhill. I thought that was a bit high because on the menu it’s $8.95 but figured maybe they are charging for cheese, but even so that’s like more than two bucks for a single slice of American cheese. I sit down and again look at the menu online, and it says all salad sandwiches come with chips and a pickle. So I go back to the guy and ask him if I was supposed to get those sides, maybe he forgot. I even show him my phone screen where it clearly states that it comes with these. He starts saying that’s if I ordered the combo and then it’s a dollar fifty on top. I’m like, what if I ordered this online, the online order says I’m getting chips and a pickle. And he physically shows me where the online orders come in like that’s gonna help and says, okay, you want a bag of chips like he’s on a big power trip all of a sudden and is doing me a favor. And I’m like, nah bro, I’m good and leave with this experience. You’re really being this cheap here? Hey guy, if you are operating this type of establishment, you should be courteous and say, hey, “the pickle is wrapped is in the bag and don’t forget to get your bag of chips!” He forgot to add onions in the sandwich too.

Don’t waste time here. Locals come to gossip meanwhile I’m a waiting customer to order. Waited 20 min to be assisted only for my order to be made wrong. Terrible service unless you speak their language

Use to go to them every weekend because they were so good. Now they only put one piece of bacon, and one egg. My total with a water was $12. Insane!! Also called, and the lady told me they just started using one egg now.

Just ordered two sandwiches, that amounted to over $20, and this is what I got! Literally two pieces of meat on each sandwich! I've never in all my life seen sadder sandwiches. Never again will I come to this establishment!! This is very upsetting to see coming from place like this. You think mom and pop bagel shop, you think quality. I've gotten better sandwiches from the McDonald's breakfast menu for half the price! Terrible.

This place has the absolute worst service ever. Go to the one in Wallington instead for better service and the same bagels.
This place in Rutherford needs a better system for knowing who’s next in line. This current honor system means that all the black customers get served last even if they walked in first.
Please get it together, get competent people working the counters on saturday mornings because that older gentleman is constantly confused and messing up.
I have never had this many messed up orders from a restaurant as much as this one.
They have SO much of my money, LOL. It's my favorite bagel place on the planet, despite the very unusual (and sometimes forgetful, I hate to admit) service style. Your order will start and finish with the same employee. Personally, I rather like this style of service because I really get to interact with the staff in a more one-on-one way (I like feeling like I'm NOT moving down a line of human automatons like Chipotle). There are times, however, I wish it was just faster and less friendly, LOL. The owner, Olga, is the sweetest woman in the world. She decorates for every holiday and always looks her best. I also love that she works just the same as every other employee; she doesn't manage from afar. I always get the impression her employees love her, too, especially since many of the workers have been there FOREVER. THE BAGELS ARE THE BEST! The texture, the stretch, the size, the flavor: all the best. They have some deli products too, so a great place for lunch as well. Order a taylor ham, egg, and cheddar cheese on a toasted and buttered everything bagel with salt and pepper. Or you can order my other favorite: scallion cream cheese, lox, and extra red onion on a salt bagel (not toasted). When I am not in the tri-state area, THIS is the breakfast I miss the most. When people visit me, THIS is where I take them. The cinnamon rolls are also excellent. They are not made in-house, but are made locally and are amazing.

Several weeks ago, they charged me $7 for 1/4 lb. of chicken salad. When I told the woman that amounted to $28 a pound, she shrugged her shoulders. That was the last time I patronized this business. Many other choices in town that do not overcharge their customers.
