We read great reviews about this restaurant so decided to check it out for my birthday the food was good! but nothing that justified the price almost $360 for 2 people. The atmosphere was nice but we couldn’t sit in the garden due to the weather but it did eventually clear up however we decided to stay inside, overall a decent meal but prices i’d expect to see in NYC.Service was great
Matisse 167 feels like home.... On our 2nd visit we sat in the garden where I fully expected to see a woodland fairy pop from behind one of the bushes. It's whimsical and inviting. The food was delicious per usual and service was exemplary. On our way out we had a lovely chat with the chef and asked for the timing of the new menu so we could come back then. I love that he cooks seasonally; each dish so elegantly assembled and prepared to perfection. Our bellies were full...
An elegant way to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Everything from the unparalleled, but understated service (always there but never hovering) to the most creative, perfectly executed menu. The flavors in each course’s selection were a perfect mix and exploded in my mouth. Bold, but subtle. Spoke briefly with the chef/owner, a very personable guy who’s obviously passionate about food, presentation, and service. Thank you for a memorable evening.
