Went this past week for lunch. Sushi didnt taste crazy fresh but Ive had worse. Should have stopped when I realized the quality wasnt there. Had SEVERE food poisoning the next day. Stay away!!

Was here on a Thursday for lunch and it was good. Their seared salmon appetizer was good. They torched it and added a smokey flavor to it which was great for me since I like the smokey flavor. The ramen was spicy but good and the Domodachi Lunch set was abundant and good. Parking wasn't bad for a weekday and service was prompt.

I’ve ordered a million times from here. I usually get regular rolls like salmon avocado and Philly. They are actually big and filling! My husband loves getting the chicken teriyaki entree. They are super nice people and I never order sushi from anywhere else.

We ordered takeout on a Friday night and got this beautifully crafted sushi platter. We put in a pretty big order and we're so amazed at the quality of each dish. 100% would order again. probably the best sushi in town!

'Domodachi' has the misfortune of competing with the legacy of 'Nizi Sushi' having once occupied the same space and a large percentage of Rutherford residents being loyal to either Nizi or 'Yellowtail Japanese Bistro', but I can assure you, Domodachi is better than both of these places.Domodachi doesn't have the over-the-top, trendy, borderline not even sushi that Yellow tail has.. Domodachi is much more traditional, but the flavors are better than Nizi and the fish quality is better than both Nizi and Yellowtail.
