The best little coffee shop in Rutherford. I live in Montclair and I’m always ready to drive all the way here for pastry. The banana bread is to die for. Always freshly made, never had a bad day. It gets busy on the weekends between open-12pm. Very affordable. Only issue would is parking.

This is hands down the best coffee and bakery I’ve found in New Jersey! The pastries are absolutely incredible!!the focaccia tastes just like the ones I had in Italy, and the cream puffs, madeleines, and cookies are always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The coffee is just as amazing :) their cappuccino is perfectly made every time and has become my go-to. What makes this place even more special is the people. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the owner is always happy to answer questions about ingredients or recommendations. They genuinely care and make sure everything is perfect. My only regret is not discovering this spot sooner! Now, I stop by as often as I can whenever they’re open. If you love great coffee and pastries, this place is a must-visit.

I've gotten their iced and hot lattes and have also tried their various syrups. My favorite is the lavender syrup. All the drinks were delightful. They're really a quick stop place, but it's a cute vibe. There are some tables and benches outside as well.

I absolutely adore this bakery. The sweets and coffee are so good. My top two favorite treats to buy are the banana bread and the olive oil lemon infused pastries. I also really enjoy the people that work there. They are so welcoming and kind. I normally get served by Katie and she is the nicest person ever. She is genuinely just a good person and people like that truly enrich the environment. The atmosphere of the place is also refreshing and I enjoy that it is a woman owned bakery. Any time I've been there I've always been greeted kindly by whomever is there.

This Family owned Charmer in Rutherford is a must experience if you love a coffee and pastry vibe! Seasonal items all the time, fresh made bakes until it sells out (and things DO sell Out)
*pro tip: the bird catches the worm. There's always things to buy, but stock starts running low by 12ish! It gets busy but lines move relatively quick!
Ambiance: Located right off Park Ave on Franklin Ave, is a little Coffeeshop and bakery with a beautiful rustic vibe, upon entering you see counter decorated with both savory and sweet pastries and baked goods! There's no indoor seating as it's quite cozy but they do have a few cute tables for outdoor seating and standing tables on the windows which is nice! There's a little area on the wall that's got some fun merch like tea, totes, and cute cups!
Food: Variety is the spice of life and Erie brings us an array of both Savory and Sweet for every pallet! They take alot of global influence in their sweets, like bringing us Arabic bread, and using ingredients like ricotta in some of their pastries! There's a variety of seasonal items and some staples like their cinnamon rolls, scones and biscuits! Everything is prepped fresh while most of us are asleep and coffee brewed fresh for maximum flavor! Trust when I say this bakery isn't just full of cupcakes, there is an array of flavors for everyone with even sandwiches served on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays!
Overall Service: I've been here a few times already and each time whether busy or slow, the kindness and pride in service is the same! Everyone at the counter is so sweet and will always go one by one with telling you the pastries when you ask what everything is! Remember if you want a place to sit down, make sure the weather is nice to try and grab one of the tables for a coffee, pastry and chat because there's no room to sit inside. Inside is just for the baked goodness

Erie Cafe has hands down the BEST desserts and service in all of Rutherford. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. Be warned though—the olive oil citrus cake is dangerously addictive. I love it so much, I make sure to treat myself to it every year on my birthday. That’s how good it is.
The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is always welcoming, and everything they serve is top quality. Erie Cafe is a must-visit spot, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet escape and outstanding service.
