Hit or miss Chinese place, sometimes the food is good, other times not so good. The prices are in line with other Chinese take out places but the e portions are smaller. The lunch special portions keeps getting smaller while the prices keep increasing. I've been eating there for 10+ years and the food is inconsistent.

I’m very disappointed. My order of chicken came soaked in oil. I will not order anything there again.

Lady behind the counter was very friendly but the food was overpriced. I called the order in ahead of time I ordered a shrimp fried rice and two spring rolls. When I got there the lady said it was $18! ?? I was taken back by the price a bit but I paid for it anyway because the portions were pretty large. Spring rolls were ok but I was VERY disappointed by the shrimp fried rice it had absolutely no flavor and just chopped onions in it definitely not like most other restaurants where there is actually more to the fried rice like some veggies and even eggs. So I was very disappointed. Would not recommend this place there are so many other Chinese restaurants with good food and better prices.

It's a ok restaurant for take out. Price for food is little more than other take out Chinese food restaurants. General taos chicken was chewey. Not that great. Other chicken item and rice was good. Not an ideal place to dine in. There wasn't any heat at the store when I visited.

Hop Hing has very good lunch specials that come with soup or an egg roll at excellent prices. I haven’t tried too much of the menu, but the boneless spare ribs and General Tso’s chicken are great. Lunch portions are generous, and dinner portions are larger and shareable. Enjoy!

Hop Hing Kitchen is less than ok. We go when we need our Chinese food fix. (Which is not very often) AND they could be a bit friendlier. Nope, we will go elsewhere when that need comes over us again.

Hop Hing Kitchen has been a fixture on Park Avenue in Rutherford for decades. It is the textbook definition of a takeout establishment, with no eat in facilities whatsoever. Even with the fact that you have to take your food on the run, their food quality has not dissipated at all. My favorites here are the General Tsos Chicken, steamed mixed vegetables, lo mein and mei fun. Their prices are very comparable to others in the area, and altogether, even though they are a take out to go, it still has its own little charm.

Vegetarian options: Numerous non meat options available both regular and spicy

Kid-friendliness: Smiling friendly service

Parking: Parking very limited on Park Avenue, being in a downtown business district. May have to walk a bit.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry. Limited space inside.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten and potential allergens information available on menu. Read carefully.

This is a take out place. Eating there is kinda not the nicest ambiance. I got a large chicken noodle soup for $6.75 and a homemade ice tea. Total was $10.00 Both were good. The soup was not salty at all which I enjoyed.

I ordered two hours ahead because I had a far drive and needed dinner when I got home. Went in to pick it up and they said “we don’t have your order” so I showed them my confirmation. They said “oh we missed that do you want to wait?” I ordered ahead for a reason. Disappointed.

Under new management, Hop Hing is your reliable neighborhood source for Chinese food. Courteous and fast service allows you to enjoy freshly made wonton soup with hints of ginger, noodles that are seasoned just right, and the many other staples one regularly craves.
