Excellent food, exceptional service! This gem is absolutely fantastic- the staff are amazing and the food quality is top notch! This was an experience from the moment you sit down. Not only is the food delicious but the plating is beautiful. We were a party of 6 who tried nearly everything on the menu.. every bite was outstanding from the appetizers to the dessert. Chef Brian makes you feel at home and made us repeat customers for sure!

Angelina’s is not to be missed, and is a delicious, BYOB restaurant that is charming and cozy. We loved all of our meals, and the appetizers were phenomenal - we had the Brussel salad, hot oysters, and gnocchi poutine and would recommend them all! The waffle chicken is amazing - don’t leave without it. We’re looking forward to our next visit because we wanted everything on the menu! It is also great for a group!

Mixed experience but I see a lot of potential here and will definitely come back despite a couple of mishaps. The menu is interesting and the food was for the most part tasty despite a couple of inconsistencies. Three of us ordered the halibut and two thoroughly enjoyed it while the third thought her piece didn't smell right. One of the other dishes contained a couple of large shrimp, one of which was cooked to mush and thus inedible. I think they only had one waiter for the entire dining which probably explains why one entree did not come out for a long time after the test were served. Otherwise the young man was terrific. We did meet with the owner chef and expressed our concerns. It was a terrific interaction and we assured him we would be back.

Relaxing, casual and lively atmosphere that is what it is and is proud of it. The food was delicious the eggplant meatballs were amazing, my halibut was really good and my husband raved about the snapper special. Treated ourselves to a really fun dessert with tasty cinnamon ice cream and oh did I mention the meatballs. Next time I am trying the pork chops.

I think they could do better in terms of food quality . First they forgot to let us know specials and their real menu , secondly my halibut came out really salty though they offered to replace it replacement was less salty but not par in taste . Perhaps it was just us I’m not sure i just hope that next time if we do decide to visit this restaurant we walk out with better experience .

The pizzeria around the corner has better food service and atmosphere than Angelina's bistro . The restaurant area doesn’t go with the prices.

I've enjoyed lunch, dinner & now brunch At Angelina's. Every dish is masterfully, prepared and creatively presented. We love that the menu is changed up to introduce new flavors & ingredients. And, as a mostly plant-based eater, I'm always thrilled to find that the chef has vegan selections, including desserts on the menu. Although I will say the bacon that Chef Brian cures himself is simply the best. For you burger lovers, the burgers got rave reviews from everybody in our group. This cozy spot is a great addition to the other wonderful restaurants in downtown Scotch Plains.

Give Angelina's a try. When we first heard of Angelina's, we looked at the menu and felt it was too pricey for us. Our friends mostly shared our opinion. We noticed, however, that the burgers, while not inexpensive, would not break the bank. So, we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were happy to find the prices were in-line with nice restaurants in the area. We decided to split an appetizer, gnocchi poutine. It was whimsical without being precious. The salsa verde was a nice counterpoint to the duck and gnocchi. The dish was creative, which entails risk, but successful. My wife ordered the hamburger. She is something of a hamburger expert, as they have been one of her favorite foods for decades. Ahe found it excellent, and I concurred. I would have preferred the red onion accompanying the burger (along with lettuce and tomato) had been sliced somewhat thinner, but the onion itself was of excellent quality. I had the halibut topped with crabmeat on a bed of rice. The filet was thick, flakey, and well cooked and plated. Both our portions were quite generous; we brought home about half of our main courses. We decided to split a dessert, the cannoli hot fudge sundae. We enjoyed that as well. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Brian, the owner (along with his wife), visited our table and seemed sincere in his asking us our opinions of the fare. He was generous with his time, and we had an interesting discussion about his culinary approach. As we greatly enjoy exceptional food, often growing and preparing it ourselves, it was good to hear of the level of care put into his preparations. The entire meal, appetizer, two main courses, and dessert, came to just over one hundred dollars. We felt this was very reasonable given the quality of the food and the size of the portions. We felt it was unfortunate that others might be reluctant to give Angelina's a try due to a perception of it being overly expensive. It is not, and we expect to visit there again. The dining room itself is pleasant. It is somewhat minimalist in décor, with tasteful wall décor, unclothed tables, sturdy and comfortable chairs, and a solid surfaced floor that, like the rest of the room, is obviously clean. The slight negative aspect is that the large front window faces Front Street almost directly, so the headlights of the cars turning right onto Park Ave. can be distracting. Perhaps some vertical blinds might serve well there. Another note: as all food is cooked to order and prepared in-house, dishes can be modified at the diner's request, as Brian explained during our conversation. Summing up then, Angelina's provides a high-end dining experience without being overly expensive. I hope this encourages you to give Angelina's a try. We are quite glad that we did.

Not a steak place for ove $100 Bucks!!! Owner was nice, I had a steel donut after I finished a little of my dinner. They asked him everything was and I didn't hesitate to sell them. They didn't even take the donut off the tab. Very disappointed in this place. I won't even go back to give it a second try I wish him luck, but they are gone on an uphill battle
