What a nice neighborhood locale. The service is friendly and welcoming. The drinks are creative and tasty! The food is fresh, well-curated, and delicious!!! If you find yourself in or near Secaucus, you should definitely stop in and grab a bite!!! Some extra perks are a solid happy hour, a nicely decorated interior, and hand cream in the Ladies' room. Go ahead and try it!!!

Had dinner at the Franklin on Sunday night. Ordered Roast Salmon with wilted greens and cauliflower purée. Delicious ! Attentive service and quiet casual atmosphere. A real neighborhood restaurant.

The worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. Friday 2/23/24 my family and I went for the first time to this restaurant. There was a group there that were so out of control with the screaming and carrying on that we could not hear ourselves talk. The staff at no time brought it to their attention to lower the screaming that was going on. Not only were we annoyed by the group's behavior but another family next to us were just as annoyed. When we tried to speak to the manager, the manager was nowhere to be found, and no one was left in charged. We were so upset that we had to leave just not to cause a scene. I'm sure that if this would have been a different race carrying on, the manager would be throwing them out...by the way the food was not all that good either..definitely would not be going there again.

Profoundly bad service, both from the wait staff and the kitchen. We went there for bunch this morning. The place was not that busy, certainly not busy enough to justify what followed. We sat down and after sitting there for about 10 minutes had to flag someone down just to bring us coffee. (in retrospect this is when we should have left, but it was raining hard and we didn't want to go find another place) We ordered. We waited about 45 minutes for the food to come out, but only one order, huevos rancheros, came out and it was wrong and cold !! Sent it back. 10 minutes later the second order, French toast came out, not even hot enough to melt the butter on top ! Another 10 minutes until the right order of eggs came out. Over an hour wait for eggs and French toast. Server doesn't check in on table for 15 minutes after that. Then another server comes over to clear the table while we are still eating. Absolutely clueless, poorly trained, wait staff. The simple food we waited over an hour for, was mediocre and the service was atrocious. One and done, never again.

Food was better than expected and service was excellent. There is a beautiful stocked bar and a wide selection of drinks and wine. The vodka chicken was worth going back for again and again. I think I will go back at my earliest convenience, just for this treat. Prices are very reasonable for such a small out of the way dining experience. Highly recommended and if you've seen some of my reviews you can believe me it's good. The salmon actually had some bones in it but it only gave me the impression that it was fresh caught because the flavor was Alaska fresh and not worth complaining about. Believe me if it was bad I would have said something. The waiting staff was very nice, didn't rush you and brought everything to the table hot and ready even specially ordered changes to an existing item came exactly as ordered. Very nice place to take your girlfriend or wife but not both at the same time

The food is always good. Try the salmon risotto...it never disappoints. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Very small, quaint, adorable place. We came for Sunday Brunch. There were 8 in our party. Food was delicious and the waiter was very nice. A few negatives I'll mention but I still would go back. There was a party of 5 women and the volume was so loud we could barely hear ourselves, it's a small room so sound is magnified. Also, be prepared to wait, the food was prepared fresh so I think it's worth it:)

The food is very good. I had a burger and our table shared several appetizers which we all enjoyed. They could probably use more red wine choices but what they had was good. The space itself including the restrooms are very clean. The service really needs training. The Franklin would be busier if their servers had proper training. It is a really nice restaurant to have in town and I want it to stay in business but service is almost laughable it's so bad. They forgot to bring any serving forks and spoons for shared appetizers as well as a glass of wine to go with dinner. The serving utensils took over 5 minutes to get- after we got up to ask for them. The waitress shows up with our entrees asking who gets what. As an aside, a smile would be nice too. We are a polite and considerate group who were not demanding nor rude in any way. The prices are more than reasonable but not cheap either and I suspect most people can't be bothered writing a bad review, they just don't come back. The Franklin is such a gem in every way but the poor service, ( not a busy night at all). Please get them some proper training and you will see an uptick in business.
