We love this place. Food is amazing, well prepared and innovative. Staff are pleasant, attentive, and informative. We go out to dinner frequently and this place is at the top of our list. We will be back, again.

Everything is relative. That said, a rating reflects your exposure to fine dining. Therefore, it’s a check the box for me/us. I am big on high quality ingredients and our experience left us with unfulfilled palates, from the olive oil for dipping, which was flavorless to the extremely bitter Balsamic vinegar, mixed in for bread dipping. All of the food required salt, pepper and/or grated cheese for flavoring, which were upon request. The fig appetizer could’ve had more flavor, had it been carmelized and slightly flash broiled with the cheese to blend the two dichotomous flavors together. The Caesar salad was diluted in flavor too. The stuffed shrimp with crabmeat was average for the dish, but not for the price. All of this said, I think there is room for improvement, if high quality, non-diluted ingredients were used. The atmosphere was good, vibrant and lively, but very poor acoustics which prevents a natural flow of conversation at your table as you couldn’t hear the person in front of you, unless you leaned in more closely to listen. A final thought: salt and pepper should be on the table and possibly grated cheese. All of that said, we shared an app, shared a salad, ordered one entree and two vegetables, with two bottles of sparkling water and the bill was over two hundred with the tip. No-one should mind spending $$$ on a good meal, but this one missed the mark for us. Ah, but I will say, the chocolate torte and cappuccino were excellent and not diluted in flavor. For many, it may be a good restaurant to return, just not for us. Disappointed they missed the mark on quality ingredients.

Best tuna ever! So good we went twice in the week we were on LBI. Lightly seared tuna tartare with bok choy was absolutely divine and so pretty! Wasabi crema sauce (start slowly with the amount of that as it is delectable, but also sinus opening), swirled with unagi sauce (perfect sweet pairing), and when you’ve constructed the perfect bite before you put it in your mouth dip it in the ponzu sauce. Heaven! We also had a delicious scallop, coconut, red pepper sauce appetizer, a fantastic crabcake and shrimp appetizer, a lovely Hudson Valley duck in a cranberry mustard seed sauce one night, and a red snapper in a fresh horseradish potato crust over hericot verte with sauce. The dumplings had a surprisingly fresh and delightful brightening with lemon grass, and we had some kind of wonderful marscapone berry cake for dessert. Everything was very good to exceptional. Bring your own wine (no corking fee) or purchase from their limited selection. The staff was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We ate inside both times with warm playful Edison lights creating a lovely ambience.

Have been here before - was on the fence. Tonight was very very good. Had seafood risotto in tomato broth with sea bass and a shrimp and scallop. My partner had the pork chop. Food was very good. Service was great, and our waiter, Christian was young but very friendly and accommodating. We had a great experience tonight- went with neighbors.

Dietary restrictions: They let me know about entrees that I could not have when questioned.

Amazing dinner!! We called in for a reservation and as soon as we got there we were seated. It is BYOB with amazing food! The service was amazing and the owner was the best! The restaurant was a little noisy, but every table was also full. Would definitely recommend and come again :)
