Ela is an amazing hostess. What an ambassador!!!
Great experience. Super friendly. Very fresh
I hadn't been to LSF in a long time and had been telling my daughter how much I enjoyed the food at LSF in Boston. We decided to have a belated birthday dinner to celebrate my birthday. The entire experience was a total disappointment. I ordered the lobster bisque. The bisque tasted burned and lacked lobster. What I thought were pieces of lobster were actually gelatinous globs that tasted like they were scraped from the bottom of the pot. The crab cake was dry and had no taste. The bottom was hard like it had stuck to the baking sheet. The salad that accompanied the crab cake was warm, overdressed and wilted. The service was almost nonexistent. Used dishes were left on the table. We were completely ignored by the waiter until we were presented with the check. This was definitely not the birthday dinner I had imagined. We won't be returning to this LSF anytime soon.

So good, and their fryers are gluten-free!! They also have great gluten-free rolls. Highly recommend!
I don't recommend this place.
Fresh seafood. Great happy hour specials. My go to place for Fresh oysters and clams. 😋

This place has steadily gone downhill over the past few years, and each menu change feels like a step further down. The final straw came during our dinner there last March. I had reserved a table for six, but one friend had to bring her 11 yr old daughter last minute. So we became a total of 7 guests. When they arrived first, the hostess literally scolded my friend loudly and publicly—so loudly that diners throughout the restaurant could hear. While I understand the situation was technically my oversight, it could and should have been handled with courtesy and professionalism. To make matters worse, I paid market price—$46—for an overcooked lobster roll that night. It was deeply underwhelming, especially considering that I’ve had far better lobster rolls from a food truck. The only good thing that night was our server who was so sweet. I feel sorry I can't remember her name.

It's been a while since we were at Legal Seafood at Short Hills Mall. We were surprised by the menu. Many previous offers were off the menu. Most surprising was the fact that there was no tuna entree on the menu. The good part was the larger number of gluten-free offerings. Overall, our experience was good. Our waiter was very attentive and careful with our dietary restrictions.
My wife and I had lunch at Legal Seafood. We had the Thai Peanut Salad and the broiled Haddock . Both were prepared perfectly.

They have reduced the menu significantly. Many of the items that they served are no longer available b
We were food poisoned last night by the clam chowder and lobster bisque. Lobster bisque was a suspicious dark brown color with no lobster in it and was very bitter and very goopy unlike what I have had from here in the past. We have been up all night in pain. Beware and stay away.

Food is always excellent. Waiter was outstanding! They excell at attention to detail including allergies including Celiac and have dedicated fryer (everything fried is down with rice flower) and wonderful gluten free rolls (both dinner rolls and sandwich buns).
Only disappointment was the group of employees (including what looked like a manager) standing at the host stand more focused on complaining about life than serving customers. Considering how well they do everything else this was a sore thumb...

With the name Legal Seafood, you would think seafood would be in abundance. I went craving seared scallops, and the menu only offered fried. When asking the waitress if they would sear them, she stated that they can grill them, but the scallops would be the tiny ones. As the bigger ones are breaded. Which leads me to believe that they are pre-packaged frozen ones.
I ordered the Nori chili crusted salmon with sticky soy, thai style bok choy & kimchi and the sweet potatoes. It looked amazing, but was flavorless and bland.

Great food, great atmosphere and overall great experience. We go as often as we do to see Shauna…best bartender around. Try the margarita flight!
