Let me set the scene: I walk in dressed head to toe in black — funeral black — because my Nonna has passed and I am honoring her memory with cookies and cake from the place she once liked. I am grieving. I am dignified. I am wearing a silk tie. These men looked at me like I was there to shoplift, very unwelcoming from the jump and gave my toddler nasty look too as if children weren’t welcome.

I composed myself and asked, very calmly, whether they offered platters for a large group. A question asked in every Italian-American bakery since the beginning of time.

The hostility in this man’s face like I was going to steal from him was enough then he looked at me like I was crazy and said with great contempt and very disrespectful tone- “We don’t do that and no bakery does that.”

No bakery? Does that? Are you insane? And what’s with the disrespectful tone of voice?

I did not scream. I did not gesture dramatically, though my hands wanted to. I walked out, drove ten minutes, and was greeted by lovely people at another place who set me up with a beautiful platter and cake fit for a proper funeral luncheon.

And this is not their first offense because I had a terrible experience last year. Last year the cookies tasted like Windex. The cannoli were soggy — soggy cannoli, a crime against my people… but I came back here because my Nonna liked this place and knew the family.

But now my Nonna would be mortified. She would make the face. You know the face. We are a people who feed others at funerals, at weddings, at 2am after an argument. Food is love. What you served — in product and in attitude — was the opposite, it was utter disrespect.

This place is a disgrace don’t waste your time.

We bought several items. The cheese ring was very bitter, after a conversation with Sal the owner he refused to let me bring it back. He insisted his cheese was special and it tasted bitter! I’ve had hundreds of cheese danish never found one unable to eat! Terrible customer service, the owner, Sal, was rude and confrontation. So many better bakeries.

Best bakery around! Whether you are looking for cannolis, cookies, or cakes/pies for an event, they have it all. Always delicious and would not go anywhere else. Highly recommend

I left my dog in the car for 5 minutes and the owner flipped out and repeatedly said my dog will die. After I explained I was homeless because I got hit by a car he ignored me and continued to patronize me about my dogs. Very Unprofessional and rude.

have nothing to say after how not family friendly they are and the service i got . i’ve been to many bakery’s with such kind workers and owners who treat the children amazing !!!! this place won’t even let you purchase one little cookie for a 2 year old after his treatments. i can’t even say the food is good anymore after the sour service. my friends and family will definitely NOT be coming back

pastry could have been better

The product I received was not as described, and the business owner was uncooperative in addressing my concerns. I have had Tres Leches cakes before—including one from this same bakery in July 2024—I can confirm that this cake did not meet the standard of what was ordered.

1. Incorrect Cake Type – I ordered a Tres Leches cake, but the cake I received contained no milk, which is a fundamental component of this type of cake.
2. Incorrect Decoration – The cake’s colors were not as requested. I specifically asked for navy blue and yellow to match my son’s school colors. Instead, the cake featured baby blue and yellow, which was incorrect.
3. My phone conversation with Sal, in which he was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly spoke over me, making it difficult to communicate my concerns.
