I am very disappointed at Gregory’s tonight. We go there a lot. We have known Larry the bartender and his family since he was a kid. We were neighbors. Food is normally great. Not so much tonight. We ordered take out apps. Potato skins (normally awesome) and bang bang shrimp. The skins tasted and looked like they were swimming in grease, cheese mixture was missing flavor. Shrimp was lacking flavor also. I should have taken a pic or brought them back. We ate a couple...
Inconsistent service and food. Ordered the same takeout order 3 times. The first and second time the food was perfect, delicious, and just how we ordered. The experiences were great except for 1 detail. According to the server, Gregory's charges $1.50 for each item you order for takeout on top of the price of the item! Our platters were listed on the menu as $18.50 but we were charged $20 for each. The server mentioned when I asked that this money is not given to the server....
Great little spot to go for was decent nothing to complain about. Drinks were awesome. Joe and John at the bar went over and above. Local type atmosphere good chill vibe. There were some youngsters in there who made it slightly uncomfortable but it was dealt with in a very discrete and professional manner. All in all a nice local spot.
