Booked a reservation on Open Table and got a message to confirm we are coming which I did. Hired a Iner to bring my husband and I and another couple. When we got there the Place was dark with a sign on the door we are closed. Never ever have I had this happen and it was embarrassing as I showed the other couple the reservation confirmation! Shame on this restaurant for obviously not letting Open Tablr know they were closing. Never ever again will I trust an open table reservation.?

They were closed!! New Year's Eve, and for whatever reason they never updated the website or told OpenTable and we show up in the restaurant has been closed for over a month. Very very unprofessional.

THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT OPEN ON NEW YEAR'S EVE. WE WENT THERE EXPECTING TO HAVE A NICE DINNER AT 7PM AND IT WAS CLOSED. VERY DISAPPOINTED ON NEW YEAR'S EVE AFTER GETTING A CONFIRMATION FROM OPEN TABLE. LOIS HUNTER 215-816-7990

The food at Tavern on the Bay is outstanding! The ambience is simply incredible.Rooms: I received a tour of one of their gorgeous large accommodations, and I am truly impressed. There’s even a Sauna outside on the balcony and a claw foot bathtub. This affords the guests to enjoy a gorgeous view of the water while in the outdoor tub! Wow!Food & drinks: The food is delicious. Like truffled French Fries, etc.

Went fishing, didn't catch anything, so we ate here. Food decent for a tourist attraction. Lots of people, sat by the water, ate, drank, and left merry. Try it, you'll like it.

Went here for dinner because the anchor tavaran was over booked. The dinning room and eating area was beautiful with wonderful view of the bay. The food was $10-15 over priced for what was provided. The wait staff was horrible slow. In conclusion I don't recommend this eatry.

Words can’t even express how awful this place is. (This has nothing to do with our waitress, she was fantastic) From the moment we sat down the vibe was way off, the waiter asked if we have ever been here before(little did we know this was her warning us). To which we answered no. We then ordered drinks, which were written on the menu and later told they don’t have them. And speaking of menu, there are only 4 entrees. We order our food, and 20 mins later a different waiter comes out saying they ran out of the food we ordered. When the food finally came out after 40 mins the chicken was undercooked and the pasta was a serving size meant for a child. The wait staff was so apologetic and did their very very best to clean up the mess management made. Our waitress was the sweetest, and it was only her second day. She shared with us that it was her second and last day working at this place, and that members of the kitchen staff had also walked out. And to top it all off, on our way out a family came up to ask us if the place was good and if they should go. You best believe we said no.

The host who sat us was rude, and did not check our reservation. He seated us at the worst table in the restaurant next to a column and said we have a full house tonight. He walked away, and that was the end of that. The food was mediocre at best - the linguine with clams was basically 12 clams, which were very good, floating in what tasted like the water from the pasta pot. No flavor at all. No garlic no white wine and parsley. My husband had the pompadoro sauce which came out with less than a quarter of a cup on the pasta. The server never came back to check on us. I did not inquire why we had left so much food on our plates. We will not be going back.

First the location and views were great. Yet the food was poor especially given the high price. Key lime shrimp with crab meat - didn't taste the key lime. Poor plating and presentation. Even worse was the scallops - small and rubbery. Light sear. To think they gave their life for this. String beans - overcooked and tasting like they came out of a can. Their menu was light and did not match their poorly designed website. My rum runner cocktail was very good. Service was fair. But seriously - go elsewhere until they hire a real chef. With such a nice location - epic fail. We felt we tossed money out the window.

outdoor chairs were falling apart. took nearly an hour to get our apps with warning from the waiter that “the kitchen was really backed up” so much so that we weren't even asked for dinner orders until over a half hour in. another table asked for more bread after waiting a similarly long time for food and were told there would be an extra charge. other tables were heard complaining of missing food. drinks were good. I would come sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere with a drink, but not worth waiting an hour for food.

No parking. The food all came out at different times. Some of our guests were done eating before others were served. They use cheap ingredients. No flavor (food was extremely bland)… the icing on the cake is that they made us move our seats fifteen minutes after we were seated.

We were expecting a lovely evening from what we saw online, but arrived to an atmosphere that seemed dirty and run down. Even the menus were ripped. The menu did not match what was posted online and we wound up leaving without ordering.

We went in September so off-season but during season all the places around here are crowded. We sat indoors and the view is great. Hugh windows give you a really nice view. There is an inside and outside bar and eating area. The server was very good and friendly. The drink menu was limited and the food was good. They have bands there on weekends so it must be a hopping place. All the staff are nice

Server tracey was very good. View and venue were very pretty. Food, chef and purveyor/quality could use some help. Expensive for the quality of food. Place was dead on A friday night. Competition in the area much busier. Hesitate to return or recommend.
