The Crab Trap offers fresh and delicious food, including their popular Soup 1-1-1 sampler and huge, all-meat crab cakes. Seafood lovers will enjoy the shrimp cocktail and salmon, while non-seafood enthusiasts can opt for the Black Jack Burger. The restaurant has a vintage atmosphere with a 70s nautical theme, and the service is attentive and friendly. The place is large with many seating areas, making it suitable for both lively gatherings near the live music or more quiet moments away from it. Portions are generous, with dishes like the jumbo crab leg dinner and oysters with clams on the half shell, which have received excellent reviews. The staff, including the servers and bartenders, are highly praised for their thoughtful tips and outstanding service. Visitors should consider arriving early, especially during busy times like dinner hours, to avoid long waits. The restaurant can be busy in summer, and parking options include a lot in front and an overflow lot across the street. The live music adds to the lively atmosphere, with bands like the One Hot Mess Band providing top-quality entertainment that keeps guests coming back. Overall, The Crab Trap is a great spot for seafood, good music, and a fun, vintage setting.
