Pre bagged fish that you can't see clearly. Medium size on outside, tiny ones in between! Don't look fresh & they won't open tied bags to let you see what you're getting. Sitting in very little ice. That can't be good! What happened to this place?

Every once in blue moon, you come across a business that is an absolute pleasure to deal with and Archar Seafood is at the top of that list. I called on Friday to inquire about ordering a bushel and a half of crab. Michael took care of everything and said that he would call me on Saturday to confirm what the fisherman brought in that morning. As promised, Michael called on Saturday morning said that the crab that came in were big and beautiful. (And he was right!) I drove an hour to Archar Seafood and was greeted by Michael upon my arrival. He is a complete professional as well as a gentleman. I can’t tell how impressed I was. He even helped me load the crab into the cooler in my truck! This is now my go to seafood spot. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Thank you Michael for everything.

Wow! Talk about service with a smile! From the moment he answered the phone Michael has been a pleasure to do do business with! So friendly personable and knowledgeable. I bought some of the freshest most delicious blue crabs and shrimp that I have ever had! Such a fun experience! Thank you Michael!

Absolutely amazing. My mother and I was looking for fresh seafood. We found this place on Google its about 35 to 40 minutes away. From the moment we walked in, Michael and the whole staff was amazing to us. Made us feel like home/family. We will always come here no matter how long it takes to get here. This place is amazing. Food is phenomenal.

We came from Staten Island because of review :) honestly, I didn’t expect to see so nice, friendly, and kind people. Also, so fresh seafood 🦞 Crabs, oysters, shrimps- all fresh! Crabs 🦀 was live 👍 Price not big! we have super last dinner before our parents go back to Ukraine, thank you 🤗 I really enjoyed and recommend that place to buy fresh seafood. 🍤

As I was leaving my nail salon, Kounson Nail Salon in Somerset, I asked for a recommendation of where to buy seafood in the area. Multiple patrons suggested Archer Seafood AND I’m so glad I stopped in. Absolute home run! The freshest fish I’ve purchased in a long time, and THE friendliest staff !!!

I went because of the good reviews but honestly its over priced here significantly. The employees are nice but i dont think 2 things of fish for 50 bucks is worth it. I got a snapper and a brazino filleted. The fish does seem fresh so i cant complain on that front but the price makes you 2nd guess the purchase. I do wish them the best im just one and done.

Last time I was in, I wanted blue crabs and I never had female blue crabs (I only had males) and he had me try them to make sure I liked them - I’ve never seen service like this ! And let me tell you, they were the sweetest most tasty crabs I had. I won’t get them anywhere else. They fresh right from NJ itself.
The food is excellent and by far the best I’ve had. Always fresh and tastes excellent. Prices are also great. I would highly recommend this spot, please give it a try !

My first time visiting. Michael greeted all the customers and he opened the store 20 minutes ahead of schedule. He was very nice and welcoming. I ordered a dozen blue crabs, he steamed and seasoned them. I was able to try them before I took them home, they were hot and fresh. This will be my new crab spot. If you are looking for fresh seafood this is the place to be.
