I just had my first experience at this restaurant and the food was disappointing.. I tried the beef stew- which was very fatty every piece and very tough to eat or chew, was not tender by any means.. I absolutely love mac and cheese, this mac and cheese was nasty not good at all, like not all..wouldn’t order here again.
Food was really good, but definitely not fresh at all. I enjoyed the beef and veggie patties. The plantains were cold and soggy, the shrimp and goat roti were good but the roti on both plates was not eatable at all, soon as I picked it up it started crumbling. Very disappointed!
the curry and potatoes hit DIFFERENT. sooooo good
Food was good. Except macaroni. IT WAS TRASH. My baked Mac & Cheese taste better than that ?. Excessive wait time..so make sure to call your order in beforehand. Would order again
The food doesn’t appear to be fresh because you can tell when food with gravy is warmed in the microwave and it was only 12:15 PM. Even the plantains didn’t taste good I am so disappointed
The food is terrible it's not Jamaican food at all. I once buy from there and found peace of plastic in my food and never went there since.
We have been going to this restaurant for years! You can always depend on the food to be excellent. The prices are reasonable. The owners of the restaurant are really great.
The food was great with stellar customer service. One of my favorite local spots.
Great food here. I highly recommend the oxtail stew.
They are stingy with the plantains ?.. Other than that the food is really good from the J*** chicken to the Oxtail platter.

Excellent customer service, always remember my face when I order. I had been eating here for over 20 years, when they was on Hamilton St. and they was a small little shop. The Food is ALWAYS good, I only trust their Ackee & Saltfish. Since their closed right now because of this Pandemic, I'm suffering! I don't eat anyone else..?? I love you Island Breeze! ??? Can't wait until y'all back up.Have my favorite dish, I have been continuing to come here every since they opened up again.
I just had dinner at this lovely spot and I have to say it was amazing. I ordered curry beef and it came with rice & peas, cabbage and plantain. I don't even eat cabbage, but baby let me tell you, whatever they did made this cabbage so tasty. I ordered the rum punch and it was very good and strong. The woman who served me was so nice and polite. When night fell they turned on the lights on the patio and a dj started playing reggae music. I felt like I was on a Carribean island, just kicking back and enjoying myself. I met some very nice people who are regulars and just had a very nice time here. I'm not from N.J. but I've already made plans to return and bring some family with me. I recommend this place ?%
We enjoy grabbing food from Da Island Breeze/Shop particularly the salmon and j*** chicken as they are always flavorful and have a nice spice to them. The rice and peas are equally good and a staple of this place.Great place for some authentic West Indian food. The front staff is friendly and nice enough. If you have a taste for a particular item it’s best to call ahead as I think they only make a certain amount of each item per day so you could lose out if you are ordering certain things late in the day.
My favorite spot to get real amazing Jamaican food !! 5stars !!
Dine in is not available here. If you are looking for some carribean food in the area than I strongly suggest that you order ahead as there is always a wait time. The good thing about this place is that the food is good, the prices are fair and imo you get your money's worth. My favorite dish to order is the reggae shrimp, curry goat or their beef patties. I usually substitute the rice for the mac and cheese pie and it is very good.
